Overview
First Impressions
The Tower Bridge, London Luxury Flat with Beautiful Garden Views sits right in the heart of Tower Hamlets, and honestly, the name tells you everything you need to know. This three-star apartment gives you that authentic London living experience without the typical hotel stuffiness. You know what struck me first? The garden views actually deliver — I mean, finding proper green space in this part of London feels like discovering hidden treasure.
Location & Neighborhood
Alie Street puts you smack in the middle of everything that matters. Tower Bridge is literally a ten-minute walk away, and the Tower of London sits right there too. But here’s the thing most visitors miss — this area has some of the best curry houses in London tucked away on side streets. The Aldgate East tube station is close enough that you’ll actually use it, unlike some places where “nearby” means a twenty-minute trek with luggage.
The Space Itself
The flat has this lived-in feel that you just can’t fake in regular hotels. There’s a proper kitchen where you can actually cook (the local markets on Whitechapel Road are perfect for picking up ingredients). The room setup works well for couples or solo travelers who want space to spread out. Those garden views I mentioned? They’re real — not just a glimpse of some sad courtyard, but actual greenery that makes morning coffee feel civilized.
What Makes It Work
Look, this isn’t trying to be fancy, and that’s exactly why it works. The 8.1 rating makes sense because it delivers on what it promises without any pretense. You get reliable WiFi, decent water pressure, and neighbors who aren’t stumbling through hallways at 3 AM like in party hostels. The building itself has character — those Victorian bones that remind you you’re actually in London, not some generic business district.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
It’s the little things, really. Having your own front door instead of swiping key cards. Being able to grab groceries and cook dinner while watching BBC. The way you can walk to Borough Market on Saturday mornings without fighting tourist crowds because you’re staying where locals actually live. Plus, there’s something satisfying about telling people you’re staying “near Tower Bridge” — it sounds impressive, but you’re not paying Bridge Hotel prices for the privilege.
London’s apartments welcome long stays with terrace views, museum access, and bike routes to hidden mews streets.

"Modern, stylish space with great amenities close to the City"
Clean, spacious, modern apartment in a good location for me. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was exceptional. Living room area bright and comfortable with a decent sized TV. Kitchen area clean and modern and had everything one might need.
What could be improved: Only minor issue is the directions from the key safe to the property could have been clearer. The apartment is located in and area with 5 or 6 identical buildings and it took a little while to locate the right one. Other than that the place was lovely.

"Convenient Apt. in Central London"
Pros: Beautiful apt. in the heart of London (near East Aldgate Station). Comfy mattresses & pillows. Apt. temperature was perfect. Beautiful view of a garden nearby, Shower was warm & did not leak. Full set of cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses & mugs. I believe there was also tea in a marble-looking container on the counter. (Note: No real cutting knife for cutting apples & other harder fruit.) Convenient garbage disposal system in the building. (Note: No garbage can that I could discern. There were recycling containers & that was what we used for garbage cans --- after lining them with a plastic bags.) You can open the window & get fresh air. :-) Plentiful hangers. Refrigerator works well.
Location is EXCELLENT!!! Two grocery stores within 5 minute walk --- including a really big Amazon grocery store. Two highly rated restaurants right next to the apartment & many other good restaurants nearby. (DanDan, the Chinese Noodle place next door, had the best Chinese Beef Noodle Soup in London (better than the famous place, Lanzhou Lamian, in Chinatown). DanDan's service was also good --- though we only did take-out.) We wanted to try the Italian Pasta place next door too, but never got around to it. The closest subway (Tube Station) is East Aldgate --- which is about 5 minute fast walk. If that station is closed, one can go to Aldgate Station instead. It's a little farther, but not that much farther (another 5-minute walk).
After our stay, we stored our luggage at the nearby Premier Inn-Aldgate (66 Alie St.) via Stasher.com. It was really convenient, safe & cost only about £25 for 4 pieces of luggage (unlimited size).
What could be improved: Con: Getting the Key was a disaster. Their video was so tiny, that we could hardly see anything. Also Google Maps was not accurate enough & told us that the garden area next to the intended street was the destination. We looked all over that garden, but of course the key-box wasn't there because it was the wrong place. After seeing the video again, we realized that we were totally off mark & wandered ourselves onto the correct little street. When we initially tried to open the key-box, it didn't open. After careful inspection of the shrubbery, we found another key-box. The code which we got opened the 2nd key-box. After we got to the building, the key didn't open the main door. After a while, we figured out that the building door was controlled by a magnetic key (a "Fob") which you place at a pad near the main door. Also note that you must use this Fob again at the elevator in order to use the elevator. The rental agency managing this apartment should have told us about the existence of this Fob. It is a little lump, so we originally thought it was just decoration on the keychain.
Minor Cons: Sticky smear (jam?) on counter; it wiped up easily. Bedframe slats were out of place on the right bed (when standing facing the beds) --- luckily, I could put the slats back in order quickly. There is NO eating table. You eat on the sofa & use the coffee table as a table for food. Bedroom does not have door. The apartment really is more like an open-plan studio. Since we are a family, it was fine, but people who are not so close, might have an issue. Apt. has some minor maintenance issues which did NOT affect our comfortable stay.
