First Impressions
The Safari Loft caught me completely off guard — in the best possible way. I mean, when you’re staying near Wembley Stadium, you expect standard chain hotels or basic accommodations, but this four-star gem on Wembley Park Drive is something else entirely. The name makes perfect sense once you step inside; there’s this wonderful safari-meets-industrial vibe that somehow works beautifully without feeling gimmicky.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Wembley Stadium and the SSE Arena, but it doesn’t feel like you’re stuck in a tourist bubble. London can be overwhelming, but this corner of Wembley Park has this village-like quality that I wasn’t expecting. The Wembley Park tube station is right there, which means you can be in central London in about 20 minutes. Actually, I found myself using it as a base to explore both the city and some lovely walks around the nearby parks.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had this fantastic loft-style ceiling that made the space feel much bigger than typical London hotel rooms. You know what really impressed me? The attention to detail — safari-themed artwork that’s actually tasteful, not tacky, and these gorgeous wooden accents throughout. The bed was properly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and honestly, the shower pressure was better than what I have at home.
Dining & Amenities
The on-site restaurant serves this interesting fusion of British and African cuisine that sounds odd but works brilliantly. I had their lamb tagine one evening, and it was genuinely one of the better meals I’ve had in London — which is saying something. Parking is available, which if you’ve ever tried to find hotel parking in London, you’ll know is worth its weight in gold. They also have a small but well-equipped fitness area, though I’ll admit I spent more time exploring the neighborhood than working out.
Why Guests Love It
What sets The Safari Loft apart is how it manages to feel both distinctive and comfortable. It’s not trying too hard to be trendy, but it’s definitely not boring either. The staff genuinely seem to care about your stay — they gave me great recommendations for local pubs and even helped me figure out the best route to avoid crowds on event days at Wembley. For the price point and the quality you get, especially considering you’re getting easy access to both stadium events and central London, it’s honestly a bit of a steal. I’d definitely stay here again, and that’s not something I say lightly.
