The central flat sits on a quiet residential street in Shepherd’s Bush, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. You’re not getting a glossy hotel lobby here — this is more like staying in someone’s well-appointed London home, which is exactly what many travelers are looking for these days. The building itself blends seamlessly into the Victorian terrace, so you might walk past it if you’re not paying attention.
The Space
What you get is essentially a proper London apartment that’s been thoughtfully set up for guests. The room I stayed in felt genuinely lived-in rather than sterile, with enough space to actually unpack your suitcase — something you can’t always count on in London. There’s a functional kitchen area that’s perfect if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Tesco Metro and save a few pounds on breakfast.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I really appreciated about staying here: Shepherd’s Bush gets you that authentic London residential feel without being completely cut off from everything. The Westfield shopping center is about a 10-minute walk when you need that familiar retail therapy, and you’ve got both the Central and Hammersmith & City lines nearby. I mean, you’re not in Zone 1, but honestly, the tube connections are solid enough that I never felt stranded.
The Local Scene
The neighborhood actually surprised me — there’s more character here than I expected. You’ll find some decent pubs within walking distance, and the Sunday market on Goldhawk Road has that proper local London vibe that tourists usually miss. What’s nice is that you can grab dinner at places where you’re not obviously surrounded by other visitors, which feels refreshing after a day of sightseeing in central London.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
This four-star place works because it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. You’re getting solid accommodation in a real London neighborhood, with enough amenities to feel comfortable but without the inflated prices of hotels closer to the tourist areas. The staff actually knows the area well — they gave me restaurant recommendations that I never would have found on my own. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a few days and start to feel like you’re living in London rather than just visiting it.

Good location, I could easily get anywhere with the public transport in relatively short time
What could be improved: Small things missing like shower curtain, kitchen basics (like salt), things you don't notice if you don't live there.

"Bad start, but the place looked a lot better when they sorted it out."
The location is, as claimed, central, at least if you are visiting that part of London. The property was small, but still at least twice as big as a hotel room, which would cost at least doble, if not treble in the area.
What could be improved: Despite the hosts agreeing to a request for a 2 pm arrival, I had to pester them for the pass code, which only arrived at 1.56 pm. The room was not ready and had not been cleaned, and there was confusion over whether I was the last guest, or the new one. It resulted in me being asked to leave before the problem was sorted. A couple renting another room in the building also turned up, thinking they were staying there. The room was only made up after I left for the afternoon to attend a wedding.

"Has MICE!!!!"
The location
What could be improved: ACCOMMODATION HAS MICE! NO RESPONSE FROM HOSTS.
Although we were looking forward to our stay, on our very first evening we saw a mouse coming into the living area from underneath the washing machine. On further inspection we noticed that the floor behind the white goods (fridge, oven and washing machine) and the cupboards is exposed and therefore from where the mice can enter into the living space.
Most disappointingly, when we made the host aware of this the same evening, we received one short response that they would look into it, but then never heard from them again and they never responded to our other two mails following this.
DO NOT BOOK! we had purchased food the first day before we knew mice were there and had to store it all away to make sure the mice couldn't access it. This is highly inconvenient and more importantly unhygienic! We understand that mice are not uncommon in London, however we would have at least expected a response from the host, as it is unacceptable to offer a holiday accommodation for that price with mice.

"Limpieza nula"
Lo bueno q tiene el apartamento es sobre todo su ubicación cerca de trenes y bus, y las camas comodas
What could be improved: En ese apartamento no limpio nadie para nuestra entrada.El baño con el desagüe lleno de pelos y la mampara ni q contar..tuve q comprar productos y limpiarlo completo.Y la parte de arriba de la ventana q estaba dividida en dos rota y abierta.Tuve q poner una toalla para el frio.Al mover las camas para juntarlas había pelusas de meses y hasta juguetes y plásticos había.Y la cocina pues también hace meses q no se limpia.Muy descuidada para tenerla en alquiler.Yo no volvería.Ademas de q el dormitorio era muy frío.

"PRATIQUE ET PROPRE - BON RAPPORT QUALITÉ PRIX"
Appartement agréable, lumineux, bien agencé. Fidèle aux photos.
Les 2 lits étaient confortables. Tout était propre.
Bon quartier, tranquille.
Le top : Idéalement situé à 2 mn à pied de la station Sheperd's Bush (Central Line qui dessert centre de Londres en 15mn), d'un centre commercial, des restaurants et des bars.
Utilisé seulement comme un pied à terre pour prendre une douche et dormir.
What could be improved: Pour que cela puisse aider le gérant à apporter des améliorations :
- Apporter plus de soin à l'organisation et la communication :
Les clefs n'étaient pas dans la boite à clefs à notre arrivée. Gros désarroi sur l'instant. J'ai donc du téléphoner au gérant (qui arrivait au même instant pour faire des travaux dans l'immeuble). Heureusement que nous sommes arrivées à 16:00 (créneau d'arrivée annoncé était 15:00 à 16:00)
Le code wifi ne nous avait pas été fourni et ne figurait pas dans l'appartement, j'ai du le demander par message.
Ces 2 actions ont induits un dépassement de forfait téléphonique.
- Améliorer l'insonorisation :
L'immeuble de 3 appartements n'en a AUCUNE (chasse d'eau, plancher qui grince, ouverture et fermeture des portes, lumière du couloir qui éclaire dans l'appartement alors que la porte est fermée, voix, etc...).
Notre première nuit a été gâchée par les locataires du rez-de-chaussée qui parlaient fort et ne cessaient de claquer leur porte + ouvrir et fermer la serrure et allumer la lumière du couloir.
Les 2 autres nuits se sont bien déroulées, dépendant du civisme des locataires présents. Il faut cependant accepter ces nuisances.
Je suis surprise qu'aucun commentaire ne le mentionnait jusqu'à présent.
