Overview
First Impressions
The Beaufort sits on a quiet garden square in Knightsbridge — honestly, you’d walk right past it if you weren’t looking. It’s this understated Victorian townhouse that doesn’t scream hotel at all, which is sort of the point. The entrance feels more like you’re visiting someone’s well-heeled aunt than checking into a four-star property, and I mean that in the best way possible.
The Neighborhood Feel
You know what I love about Beaufort Gardens? It’s actually residential — there are locals walking their dogs and kids heading to school in the morning. You’re literally two minutes from Harrods if that’s your thing, but step out the front door and it feels like a proper London neighborhood. The leafy square has these gorgeous garden spaces in the center that you can access with a key from the hotel, which feels wonderfully exclusive without being pretentious.
The Room Experience
My room was small — let’s be honest about London hotel sizes — but thoughtfully designed with rich fabrics and traditional English touches. The bathroom actually had decent water pressure, which isn’t always a given in these period buildings. What struck me most was how quiet everything was; you’d never guess you’re in the heart of one of the busiest areas in London. The complimentary minibar is a nice touch that sets it apart from most places in this price range.
Dining and Social Spaces
There’s no formal restaurant, but they serve afternoon tea in the drawing room, and honestly, it’s one of the more relaxed versions I’ve had in London. The staff knows regulars by name — I watched them greet a guest who’d clearly been coming for years. The honor system bar in the evening creates this house-party atmosphere where guests actually talk to each other, which is refreshing.
Why Guests Love It
The Beaufort works because it doesn’t try too hard. The staff treats you like a houseguest rather than a transaction, and the location gives you that insider London feeling while keeping you close to everything that matters. It’s particularly perfect if you want to experience Knightsbridge without the scene — you can pop into Harvey Nichols or take a walk through Hyde Park, then retreat to what feels like your own private corner of the city.

"High quality efficient boutique hotel in exceptional location."
Like many London boutiques hotels the rooms are not spacious, but Everton is understated and high quality. It has been ideal for a week long stay. Excellent safe location with great access to walk through parks to get to meetings. Staff are available 24 hours a day; helpful and really pleasant. Breakfast was simple and nutritious. Fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, sourdough toast, lovely choice of high quality jams and honey. Great coffee.
What could be improved: Everyone snd everything was good

"Nice boutique hotel. Typical South Kensington house."
Niveau room. Confortable bed. Nice balcony to take our breakfast with a view on the V&A dome !
The personal was just exceptional. Fully dedicated.
What could be improved: Slightly hot but probably due to the fact we were on last floor. Balancing temperature over the building is challenging.
