The Apartments by The Sloane Club
First Impressions
The Apartments by The Sloane Club sits on a quiet stretch of Sloane Gardens, and honestly, you might walk right past it if you’re not paying attention. The entrance is understated in that very British way — no flashy signage, just elegant Georgian townhouses that have been cleverly converted into serviced apartments. I actually appreciate this low-key approach because it feels like you’re staying in a proper residential neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble.
Location & Neighborhood
You’re in Belgravia here, which means you’re surrounded by those impossibly white stucco houses and tree-lined squares that make London postcards. Sloane Square is literally a three-minute walk away, and from there you can hop on the District or Circle lines to get anywhere. What I love is that Victoria Station is close enough to be useful (about ten minutes on foot) but far enough that you don’t get the usual station chaos. The neighborhood has this residential calm during the day, but you’re still within easy reach of Harrods and all the King’s Road shopping.
The Apartment Experience
These aren’t hotel rooms — they’re actual apartment units, and that makes all the difference when you’re staying more than a night or two. Each one comes with a proper kitchen (not just a mini-fridge situation), which means you can actually cook if you want to save money or just fancy a quiet night in. The spaces feel residential because, well, they basically are. The furnishings are contemporary but not trying too hard, and there’s enough storage that you can properly unpack instead of living out of a suitcase.
Service & Amenities
Here’s where it gets interesting — you get access to The Sloane Club’s facilities, which includes a restaurant and fitness center. The club has this old-school London private members’ feel, but without the stuffiness. Housekeeping comes by regularly (you can adjust the frequency), and there’s a 24-hour reception that actually knows what they’re talking about when you ask for directions or recommendations. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout, which matters more than you’d think in these old London buildings.
Why Guests Love It
This four-star setup works particularly well for longer stays or if you’re traveling with family. You get the independence of having your own space with a proper room to spread out, but you’re not completely cut off from hotel services when you need them. The Belgravia location means you’re close to everything touristy but staying somewhere that feels authentically London. Plus, there’s parking available if you’re brave enough to drive in central London — though honestly, I’d stick to the tube from here.
