Overview
First Impressions
The Stylish Kennington apartment near tube with King Bed and garden sits on a quiet residential street in Southwark, and honestly, you’d walk right past it if you weren’t looking for the address. It’s tucked into a converted Victorian terrace that feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel — which is exactly the point. The four-star rating fits perfectly; it’s got everything you need without any unnecessary fuss.
Location & Getting Around
Chapter Road is one of those London streets where locals actually live, not just tourists passing through. You’re about a seven-minute walk to Kennington tube station, which puts you on the Northern line — meaning you can get to Westminster in under ten minutes or Camden in about fifteen. The area’s got that authentic South London feel, with corner shops and proper pubs scattered around. I mean, you’re not in Zone 1, but that’s actually refreshing after dealing with the crowds around Big Ben all day.
The Space
Walking into the apartment, the first thing that hits you is how much natural light streams through the windows. The king bed dominates the main room (as it should), and the linens feel properly comfortable — not hotel-crisp, but soft in that lived-in way. There’s a small kitchenette tucked along one wall that’s actually functional; I managed to make decent morning coffee and even heated up some takeaway curry one evening. The whole setup feels like someone’s stylish flat that they’ve temporarily lent out.
The Garden
Here’s what really sets this place apart — that garden access mentioned in the name isn’t just marketing speak. You’ve got a shared outdoor space that’s perfect for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. It’s nothing fancy, just a well-maintained patch with some seating and decent privacy from the neighboring properties. On nice days, it beats sitting in your room scrolling through your phone, and you know what? Most London accommodations don’t give you any outdoor space at all.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the Ritz, and it’s not trying to be. What you get is a genuine slice of London residential life with all the practical benefits — reliable wifi, good water pressure, and parking that doesn’t cost a fortune (though you’ll want to double-check the street restrictions). The 7.3 rating makes sense; it delivers on its promises without overpromising. If you’re the type who wants to experience London like you actually live there, rather than bouncing between tourist traps, this Kennington spot hits that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity.

"Comfortable well located apartment away from busy tourist areas."
Comfortable accommodation for 2 people. The outdoor space was a nice bonus. Very quiet neighbourhood, Short walk to Northern Line tube. We highly recommend exploring nearby Kennington Park with its beautiful flower garden and lovely cafe!
What could be improved: Not much around in the immediate area in terms of food shops, restaurants etc.

"Peaceful residential property, ideally located in central London for our stay!"
The apartment was ideally situated and we had requested parking as well, which was directly outside and chargeable before hand. The accommodation was roomy enough for two adults and had good facilities and a compact kitchen for preparing meals. It suited our needs and was very clean and well presented, with modern furnishing and under floor heating in the bathroom. Small retreat style garden would have used if better weather. Great access to Tube stations within walking distance. Recommend!

"Good value for the price; however, no stay is pleasant if the bed is uncomfortable."
The apartment was clean and had the bonus of an outdoor space. The hosts were quite accommodating about all aspects of the stay.
What could be improved: The bed and sofa bed were not at all comfortable. It was hard to figure out how to regulate the temperature in the shower.

"Exceptional"
We had an amazing stay at this apartment! The place is exactly as described, modern, small and incredibly clean. The neighborhood is so peaceful, making it the perfect spot to relax after a busy day. It's also
very convenient, with both a bus station and tube station nearby, making it easy to get around. I was really impressed with the great price for such high-quality accommodations.
The host was also very responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in a quiet, well-connected area!
It’s a great place for a couple that’s looking to get away but also being close to the city.

"Very Disappointing!!"
I liked the size of the unit.
What could be improved: I didn't like the locationor. It was suppose to be an upgrade from an apartment that we originally had rented in Kensington. It definitely was not an upgrade! In fact it was a basement apartment with only one window in a building in the process of being repaired.
