Stylish 2-Bedroom Flat – Central Links
First Impressions
Honestly, Stylish 2-Bedroom Flat – Central Links caught me off guard — and not in the way I was hoping. Walking up to this three-star property on Upper Tooting Road, I had modest expectations for what seemed like a straightforward serviced apartment in south London. The building itself is typical Victorian conversion stuff you see all over Wandsworth, which isn’t necessarily bad, but the entrance felt a bit worn around the edges.
The Space Itself
Look, the flat does what it says on the tin — two bedrooms, separate living area, and a functional kitchen with the basics. The layout actually works pretty well if you’re traveling with family or friends who need separate sleeping spaces. I mean, having that extra room makes a real difference when you’re staying more than just a night or two. The furnishing is… well, let’s call it practical rather than stylish, despite what the name suggests.
Location Reality Check
Here’s where I need to be straight with you — “Central Links” is doing some heavy lifting in that name. You’re in Tooting, which is perfectly fine, but it’s not exactly central London. The Tooting Broadway tube station is walkable (about 10-15 minutes depending on your pace), and once you’re on the Northern line, you can get into town reasonably quickly. The neighborhood has that authentic south London vibe with decent curry houses and local pubs, which I actually enjoyed more than I expected.
What Didn’t Work
I’ve got to mention the maintenance issues because they really affected the stay. There were some plumbing quirks in the bathroom, and the heating seemed to have a mind of its own — sometimes too hot, sometimes barely there. The WiFi was spotty, which is honestly a dealbreaker when you’re trying to get anything done. Small things like worn towels and a few kitchen items that had seen better days just added to the sense that this place needs some serious TLC.
Why Some Guests Might Consider It
Despite my frustrations, I can see why this might work for certain travelers — particularly if you’re on a tight budget and need that two-bedroom setup. The price point reflects what you’re getting, and if you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring London rather than hanging around the flat, the location does give you decent transport links without the premium you’d pay closer to Zone 1. Just manage your expectations and maybe have a backup plan for reliable internet if you need it for work.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
