Overview
First Impressions
When I first approached Stunning Holland Park 2 BR – sleeps 6 on Holland Road, I’ll be honest — the name had me a bit skeptical. But this four-star apartment really does live up to its bold title. Tucked into a lovely Victorian terrace in one of London‘s most elegant neighborhoods, it’s got that perfect balance of residential calm and city accessibility that’s surprisingly hard to find.
The Space That Works
The apartment genuinely sleeps six people without feeling cramped, which is no small feat in London. The two bedrooms are properly sized — not those tiny boxes you sometimes get in city rentals — and the living area actually gives everyone space to spread out. What I really appreciated was the kitchen, which comes fully equipped and isn’t just an afterthought shoved into a corner. You can actually cook a proper meal here, and trust me, with London restaurant prices, you’ll want to.
Holland Park’s Hidden Charm
Here’s what the guidebooks don’t tell you about this area: Holland Park itself is basically London’s best-kept secret. The Japanese Garden tucked inside the park is absolutely magical (and free), and you’re a five-minute walk from some seriously good independent cafes on Holland Park Avenue. The Shepherd’s Bush Market is close enough for proper grocery shopping, but you’re also walking distance to the boutiques of Notting Hill when you want to feel fancy.
Transport That Actually Makes Sense
Getting around from here is honestly easier than I expected. Holland Park tube station is practically on your doorstep, and you’re on the Central line — which means Oxford Circus in about 15 minutes and Bank in 20. What’s brilliant is that you can also walk to Kensington High Street when the weather’s decent, giving you options beyond just the Underground. The area feels residential enough that you’re not battling tourist crowds every time you step outside.
Why Guests Love It
This place hits that sweet spot between space and location that’s genuinely hard to find in London. The 8.3 rating makes perfect sense when you factor in the neighborhood’s character — you get tree-lined streets, actual parking possibilities (rare in central London), and proximity to both the cultural attractions of South Kensington and the trendy spots in Notting Hill. It’s the kind of place where you can have a proper London experience without feeling like you’re camping out in someone’s spare room.

Great location close to underground and bus services. Nice and cosy apartment.
Nice balcony with garden view and even a squirrel living on the tree :)
What could be improved: Just know the if you plan to smoke at the balcony, it's forbidden.

"Comfortable - would stay again!"
The flat itself is very well kept and stocked with basic essentials. The bedrooms are a good size and the main sitting area is open. The entire flat has tall ceilings which helps make it feel bigger. We were a group of 5 and finding a flat that could comfortably sleep all of us was a bit of a challenge but this flat met the mark.
When we arrived we had a couple of questions for Yasmine who was very quick to respond. For example, we were unsure how to lock the door to the back terrace, and when I texted Yasmine I was given a how-to video and it was sorted quickly and easily.
What could be improved: Super minor but we were unable to find towels for the kitchen. Given the limited amount of time we actually spent in the flat, this was a minor issue.
Another smaller issue was the bed/futon wasn’t as comfortable as we hoped, but we also know it’s never going to be as comfortable as a proper bed.

The place was very clean, nicely decorated and little things like bin bags and a lighter and cleaning products are provided to make your stay seamless ✨
The sun lights up the whole apartment with the tall ceilings and the large windows.
Lovely balcony to sit and have a chat with a lot of green

"Very good"
The apartment was close to many places to be seen. It was enough room for 5 people and had a good supply in kitchen if you were eating m eats in. The owner had a reference booklet which was very helpful, my only complaint is having basic kitchen items like salt, pepper sugar and coffee/tea. I would definitely stay there again.
FYL if there are more than 3 people in the group, Uber is the way to go as the tube costs as much one way and finding it is a walk,
What could be improved: Not any basics in kitchen salt pepper sugar coffee tea

"It would have been fantastic if I didn’t have issues (medical) with parking being so far away."
It was clean and spacious. Good kitchen facilities. Comfortable sitting room. Good TV. Yasmine was a fantastic host. She was brilliantly helpful.
What could be improved: The bed in the smaller bedroom wasn’t as comfortable as the one in the bigger bedroom.
For our purposes, (medical) having to walk ten minutes to the car was difficult. But if there’s no medical problems, I’m sure it’s fine.

"Comfortable accommodation but didn’t have the charm I was hoping for but could easily acquire with a few small upgrades."
Apartment has a ton of potential. It has two nice size bathrooms and two private bedrooms. Kitchen and lounge room are charming. Location is wonderful being right by the bus stops needed to get to all the most popular attractions. Host are lovely, incredibly responsive and had a lot of wonderful suggestions and advice about London. Main level apartment is nice as not in a basement and no need to traipse luggage upstairs or down.
What could be improved: The apartment needs some basic TLC to become a more luxurious stay. Throwing out all the old kitchenware and old sheets pillows etc and starting fresh with clean crisp hotel quality sheets and pillows would take this stay to another category. Fresh paint is needed in all the halls and wood trim. It’s is clean to the eye but upon deeper inspection kitchen and fridge were quite dirty. Nothing five mins of cleaning couldn’t fix and I found needed cleaning supplies in the laundry cupboard which is also a nice thing to have. Washer/dryer in one is available to use as well. The biggest issue worth mentioning is this apartment is on a very busy street (not a charming side street I would have preferred) two children had to sleep in the lounge room and were woken nightly with emergency vehicles ripping down the road. It is at no fault of the host but you will hear emergency sirens about every five mins all day every day and into the night. This is just apart of the location. We were woken two nights with loud sirens in the apartment (this is part of the fire and carbon monoxide system I was told) no big deal but when dealing with jet lag this wrecked me. Also a third night woken by insane firework show on the back street at 3am again another day with disrupted sleep prolonged the jet lag. Cleaning lady came but I didn’t see her bring any linens. Curious as to how all the duvets and sheets are washed dried and remade before next guest. I stripped all our beds and made sure we didn’t put away any of the blankets or linens we used in the lounge room. I didn’t find any extra bedding or sheets in the apartment. I was a little skeptical when I left on if the blankets we used were washed between stays. Again, no proof of this but an observation (I usually feel like any short term stay apart should have all white sheets to ensure they’re cleaned appropriately between guest.)
