First Impressions
Honestly, StudioSleeps2-GardenView-Parking-Internet-Patio isn’t going to win any awards for the most elegant name, but don’t let that throw you off. This four-star studio tucked away on Bridge Lane in London‘s Golders Green area surprised me in the best way possible. You know what struck me first? The quiet — and I mean actually quiet, which is pretty rare for London.
The Space
The studio itself is compact but smartly designed, and that garden view they mention? It’s legit. I spent my morning coffee looking out at a proper little English garden rather than the usual brick wall you’d expect. The room manages to feel open despite being small, probably because of the patio doors that let in loads of natural light. The kitchenette is basic but functional — perfect if you’re planning to grab groceries from the nearby Tesco rather than eating out every meal.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s where things get interesting. Golders Green might not be on every tourist’s radar, but the Northern Line will get you into central London in about 20 minutes. What I really appreciated was having that private parking spot — try finding that in Zone 2 for less than £30 a day elsewhere. The area has this lovely residential feel, and you’re actually close to Hampstead Heath if you fancy a proper walk.
The Reality Check
Look, I’ll be straight with you — this place has its quirks. The building feels a bit tired, and some of the fixtures could use updating. The internet works fine for checking emails and scrolling social media, but don’t expect lightning speeds if you’re trying to stream movies. The patio is nice enough, though it’s more of a small terrace than anything grand. Still, for the price point and the fact you get your own space with a kitchen, it works.
Why Guests Love It
What makes this studio work is the combination of independence and value. You’re not dealing with hotel breakfast times or paying £15 for room service sandwiches. The garden view gives you that bit of London greenery that’s surprisingly hard to find, and honestly, after a long day of sightseeing, having your own quiet corner to decompress in makes all the difference. It’s particularly good if you’re planning a longer stay — I mean, having a washing machine and proper fridge changes everything when you’re in town for more than a few days.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
