Staycity Aparthotels London Greenwich High Road
First Impressions
Walking up to Staycity Aparthotels London Greenwich High Road, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the outside — it’s got that modern, slightly corporate look that could blend into any British high street. But you know what? Once you step inside, the place actually feels warm and welcoming. The lobby’s clean and bright, and the staff genuinely seem to care about getting you sorted quickly, which I appreciated after dragging my suitcase through Greenwich‘s cobbled streets.
The Apartment Experience
Here’s where this three-star place really shines — each apartment comes with a proper kitchenette, and I mean proper. We’re talking full-sized fridge, microwave, stovetop, and all the basics you’d actually need to make a decent meal. The room itself was larger than I expected, with a separate living area that didn’t feel cramped. Sure, the décor won’t win any design awards, but everything works perfectly fine and the bed was surprisingly comfortable.
Greenwich High Road Location
The location is honestly brilliant if you want to experience London beyond the typical tourist bubble. Greenwich High Road buzzes with local life — there’s a Sainsbury’s literally next door (lifesaver for apartment living), plus dozens of pubs, cafés, and takeaway spots within a two-minute walk. The covered Greenwich Market is about five minutes away on foot, and that’s where you’ll find some genuinely good food stalls and weekend browsing.
Getting Around
Greenwich train station is maybe a seven-minute walk, which gets you into central London in about 15 minutes — way faster than I expected. The DLR connection to Canary Wharf takes even less time, making this spot surprisingly handy for business travelers. What I really loved though was being able to walk to the Thames Path and Maritime Greenwich. There’s something special about having your morning coffee overlooking the river, then hopping on a train to be in the heart of London before 9am.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the most Instagram-worthy place you’ve ever stayed, but it absolutely nails the practical side of London living. The kitchenette means you’re not forced to eat out for every meal (your wallet will thank you), and the location gives you that perfect balance of local Greenwich charm with easy city access. I actually found myself cooking breakfast most mornings, then exploring the Maritime Museum or Cutty Sark before heading into town. The parking situation is decent too if you’re driving — not cheap, but available, which is more than you can say for most London accommodations.
