Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Stay Kula London – Holborn on Emerald Street, you’ll notice it sits pretty quietly in Camden — which honestly works in its favor. The entrance has this understated modern vibe that doesn’t scream “tourist hotel,” and I mean that as a compliment. You know what struck me first? How the lobby feels more like a stylish co-working space than your typical hotel reception area.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about being in Camden but calling yourself Holborn — you’re actually getting the best of both worlds. Russell Square tube station is maybe a seven-minute walk, and that puts you on the Piccadilly line straight to Heathrow or into the heart of London. The British Museum is practically next door, which sounds touristy but actually means you’re in one of those pockets of London that feels properly central without the Covent Garden crowds.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had this smart, minimalist design that actually works — clean lines, decent storage, and a bed that didn’t feel like a compromise. What I appreciated was the attention to practical details: proper lighting for reading, enough plugs near the bed, and a shower that had actual water pressure. The apartment-style units come with basic cooking facilities if you’re planning a longer stay, though honestly, you’re surrounded by enough good food options that you might not bother.
Daily Essentials
Breakfast happens in a bright space that doubles as a casual restaurant — nothing fancy, but they do a proper full English if that’s your thing, plus lighter options that won’t weigh you down before a day of walking around. The staff here actually seem to know the neighborhood well, which is rarer than you’d think. Parking is available but you’re honestly better off without a car in this part of town.
Why Guests Love It
What makes this four-star place work is that it doesn’t try too hard to be something it’s not. It’s comfortable, well-located, and feels like the kind of place where you can actually relax after a long day exploring London. The Camden location means you’re close to some genuinely good pubs and restaurants that locals actually use, but you can still walk to the major tourist spots when the mood strikes. It’s that sweet spot between practical and pleasant — and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
London’s apartments welcome long stays with terrace views, museum access, and bike routes to hidden mews streets.

"Great stay. Convenient."
Great location. Clean and roomy.
What could be improved: Some of the lights flickered which was annoying.
No kitchen towels.
Minor items.

"Very nice place."
Great apartment. Good vibe. Easy check in. comfortable bed. Nice place
What could be improved: Boiler not working. After contacting tried to get going, but water leaked. Had no hot water, had to do cold shower (hence score on facilities). If shower had worked would have been great.

"Great location, would recommend and stay again"
The location was outstanding. Easy access in and out and friendly staff. It was clean and had all ammenities
What could be improved: Accessibility was an issue due to the size. You need to move furniture to open cabinets and windows which is slight annoying. It was quite hot when we stayed, they provide two good fans however floor mounted fans don’t provide enough air flow so we needed to move furniture to elevate the fans

"Would definitely stay here again"
The location as great. A central and charming part of London.
What could be improved: Only problem was that TV didn’t work (apart from a few shopping channels on Sky)

"Excellent location and a spacious well appointed flat."
Location great and a clean and spacious, well equipped flat.
What could be improved: On the 2nd floor without a lift.
Door handle in smaller bedroom fell off, no bulb in the bedside lamp and fridge had been leaking due to the freezer door being left open.
Small things by themselves, but together it means that the management company need to be more vigilant.

What could be improved: Lugging suitcases up tot he top of the building was hard but worth it once we got there.

"Superb"
We stayed at Kula Holborn, flat No 5, for about a week, and we highly recommend it!
The apartment is very spacious for a couple, quiet, and centrally located near the Holborn station.
Advantages:
Elegantly designed, equipped with everything you need, a combined washer and dryer, a spacious and convenient kitchen, well-lit and modern.
The exceptional service of the Kula team deserves mention. Quick, considerate, and friendly digital responses. Well done, team!
Disadvantages:
There are almost none, but it should be noted that the mattress is very comfortable but relatively soft, not suitable for those who prefer firm mattresses.
Additionally, the apartment is on the 2nd floor without an elevator, so it may not be suitable for elderly people in our opinion.
Other than that, we are sure we will return!

"VERY Clean, Quite, Functional flat w/ 2 HUGE bathrooms/bedrooms in perfect Central London location!!"
The location was excellent and vey easy to navigate. The place is VERY well constructed and clean. Having the TWO bathrooms is a very nice touch. LOVE the washer/dryer combo. At first I thought there was no dryer but upon usage, I found out it was a dual unit - Well done!
Very quite neighborhood and easy to walk to many great locations for food, coffee, services.
Thanks for including the power converters! All the appliances worked great!
The customer service was amazing and Nuria helped us on our arrival day by taking my many phone calls and doing so with patience and understanding - thanks so much!!
What could be improved: The entrance to the apartment is not clearly marked at all. While we were looking for "2 Emerald Street", there is not a # 2 on the door, nor is there any Kula branding to identify the proper location. The name about the door says "Cara Court" which would be VERY useful for future guests to know.
The TV was not connected to the Satellite so we had no access to cable TV and had to watch only Youtube and Netflix via the Chromecast connected via HDMI (which we were thankful to have). Some written instructions on the capabilities of the TV would be helpful.
We did not realize that there was NO Air Conditioning!!! While this was not that much of an issue during our stay since the weather was mild, I would be unable to book here in the future when the weather is expected to be in the 70's or above. As long as it's below 70 though, I would definitely stay again!
