Statera Apartments – 2-Bed House in Stratford
First Impressions
When I first arrived at Statera Apartments – 2-Bed House in Stratford, I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior — it’s a pretty straightforward residential block on Stewart Road. But honestly, that’s part of what makes this three-star place work so well. You’re staying in what feels like a proper London neighborhood rather than some tourist bubble, and there’s something refreshing about that.
The Space
The apartment itself surprised me with how much room there actually is. Two bedrooms that don’t feel cramped, and the main room has enough space to actually relax without bumping into furniture every five minutes. The kitchen is probably the real winner here — it’s got everything you need to cook proper meals, which honestly saves you a fortune when you’re staying in London for more than a couple of days. I mean, you can only eat so many overpriced sandwiches from Pret, right?
Location & Getting Around
Stratford has completely transformed over the past decade, and staying here puts you right in the middle of that change. The Westfield shopping center is a quick walk away if you need anything, and the transport links are actually brilliant. You’ve got the Central line, DLR, and Overground all within easy reach — I could get to central London in about 20 minutes, which beats a lot of Zone 2 hotels that charge twice as much.
The Neighborhood Feel
What I really liked about this area is how it feels like real London rather than tourist London. There’s a Tesco nearby for groceries, some decent local pubs if you want a pint without paying West End prices, and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is literally on your doorstep. I spent a morning walking around the park, and it’s genuinely lovely — especially if you remember watching the Olympics and want to see what’s left of all that excitement.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to win any design awards, and the building itself is pretty basic. But for the price point, you’re getting proper space, a functional setup, and a location that actually makes sense for exploring London without breaking the bank. The 7.8 rating feels about right — it does what it says on the tin without any fuss. If you’re the type who wants to spend your money on experiences rather than fancy hotel lobbies, this place gets it right.
Apartments in London suit families with bright bay windows, full kitchens, and sunset loops through Hyde Park paths.
