Overview
First Impressions
Honestly, when I first pulled up to Spring Stays Cosy 2-Bed Residence with Free Parking, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior — but sometimes the best finds are hiding in plain sight. This four-star property sits quietly on Goldfinch Road in Greenwich, and you know what struck me immediately? The fact that there’s actually parking right there, which anyone who’s driven around London will tell you is worth its weight in gold.
The Space That Surprises
Step inside and it’s like you’ve found this secret oasis that feels nothing like typical London accommodations. The two-bedroom setup gives you proper breathing room — I mean, you can actually spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your suitcase. The living area has this lived-in comfort that makes you feel at home rather than like you’re camping in someone else’s space. There’s a full kitchen too, which honestly saved me a fortune on takeaway during my stay.
Greenwich Gateway
Here’s the thing about this location — you’re in Greenwich, but you’re not dealing with the tourist madness of the city center every single day. The area feels residential and calm, but hop on the DLR or grab a bus and you’re connected to everything London has to offer. I actually enjoyed the morning walks around the neighborhood — there’s something refreshing about starting your day somewhere that feels like actual Londoners live there, not just endless hotels and chain stores.
Daily Comforts
The beds are properly comfortable — none of that rock-hard hotel mattress nonsense that leaves you aching. What I really appreciated was how everything just worked without fuss. The Wi-Fi was solid, the heating responded when you adjusted it, and the shower had decent pressure. Sometimes it’s these basic things done well that make or break a stay, you know? Plus, having that kitchenette means you can grab groceries and make a proper breakfast instead of hunting for overpriced coffee every morning.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this place isn’t trying to be flashy or win design awards — it’s just genuinely practical and comfortable. The free parking alone puts it ahead of most London accommodations, but beyond that, it’s the space and the sense of actually living somewhere rather than just sleeping there. For families or anyone staying more than a couple nights, having two proper bedrooms and a kitchen changes everything. The 8.1 rating makes perfect sense to me — it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in London before spring brings blossom-lined parks, pop-up exhibitions, and warm evening strolls.

"Superb"
The location was great. Not central London at all but a short 10 minute walk to the nearest train station which took you central within 30 minutes.
Best part about this place is it has off road, private parking on-site. With a 4 year old daughter, this was particularly helpful, and I felt it gave us more freedom than being very central in a hotel..
What could be improved: There wasn't anything we didn't like.

"Very good"
They were very comfortable beds. Lovely blackout blinds in the bedrooms. The bathroom was lovely, with a great shower. The kitchen was well equipped. The property was very clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, despite a couple of issues. We were out most of the time
What could be improved: We struggled to gain entry a few times, but that may have just been us. The door seemed to be a bit difficult to open. Toilet wouldn't flush and kept running all night. When we finally managed to get hold of the owners, they were out of the country, they had it fixed very quickly. They stated there was tea, coffee & sugar. Unfortunately, there was no sugar or instant coffee in the pots. Had we known, we would have brought our own. They did have a wide range of coffee for the coffee percolator, though, and everything else you may need. I think we were maybe just unlucky. Overall, it is a lovely place to stay, very comfortable. I would recommend it.

"Comfy and accessible in Woolwich"
Location easy to find
Everything worked in the property
Kitchen nicely appointed
tastefully furnished throughout with modern furnishings and fittings
Great shower and bathroom, fluffy towels and flannels provided.
Comfy beds and linen / pillows
Close to the Royal Arsenal pier (for the uber boat)..20min walk and Woolwich and Plumstead station (also 20mins)
offstreet parking
Would definitely consider again when next in London... very convenient for the O2 arena.
Helpful and responsive hosts (John and Ethel)
What could be improved: as per other review comments I recommend an electric kettle. Heating a kettle on a gas stove takes time and you cannot walk away and do something else.
