Overview
First Impressions
The Split Level Studio at West Hampstead by Concept Apartments caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know how some places look great online but feel sterile in person? This isn’t one of them. Walking into this four-star apartment, I was struck by how the split-level design actually makes the space feel much larger than you’d expect from a London studio.
The Space That Works
What really impressed me was the clever use of vertical space — the sleeping area sits above the main living zone, creating distinct areas without walls. The kitchenette is surprisingly well-equipped for central London standards, and I mean actually functional, not just decorative. There’s enough counter space to prep a proper meal, which honestly saved me quite a bit on dining out during my stay.
West Hampstead Reality
Here’s what I wish someone had told me about West Hampstead before I booked — it’s got this village-y feel that doesn’t scream “tourist London,” but that’s exactly why it works. The Thameslink station is a quick walk away, getting you into central London in about 15 minutes. Plus, you’ve got proper local spots like the West End Lane Books and that little stretch of cafes that locals actually use.
Daily Living Details
The room setup is smart — there’s actually a proper workspace if you need to get things done, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes like some London rentals I’ve experienced. Parking isn’t included (this is London, after all), but there are options nearby if you’re driving. The building’s quiet enough that I never heard neighbors, which in a city like this feels like a small miracle.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this place has an 8.7 rating for good reasons that become obvious once you’re settled in. It’s that sweet spot between hotel convenience and apartment freedom — you get your own space and cooking facilities without sacrificing cleanliness or professional management. The split-level design means you can actually have people over without everyone sitting on the bed, and West Hampstead gives you breathing room from the tourist crowds while keeping everything accessible.
Apartments in London suit families with bright bay windows, full kitchens, and sunset loops through Hyde Park paths.

"Great balance of quality, value and location"
The apartment was lovely. I didn't mind the configuration with the kitchen and bathroom downstairs and bed and living area upstairs. I really liked it. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the outdoor terrace was a refreshing addition. It was safe and quiet and a short stroll into West Hampstead where there are cafes, restaurants and shops. Heating upstairs was easy to use and efficient and cosy.
What could be improved: Would be nice if milk was left. Also, TV was good, but I couldn't find live terrestrial channels like BBC ITV. A growing problem when staying away. I was advised to take Northern Line from Euston. Actually the best route was 2 stops on Lioness line and then a 15 minute walk.

Good location, near underground and bus stops, main shopping street nearby. Compact but fine for a couple for a few days. Clean and tidy.

"This Split Level Concept Apartment offered good value for money accommodation."
The apartment is well located for travelling into and out of central London, with the underground a 10 minute walk away. Also good bus routes. The neighbourhood is quiet and secluded. The apartment is very clean, nicely decorated and very modern. A good selection of appliances and kitchen utensils are available for self catering. The bathroom soaps, shower gels and hair shampoos are of a good quality. The walk-in shower is very good with plenty of hot water and a good water pressure. Having the outside, roof top terrace area is also a bonus.
What could be improved: Getting the key from the outside lock box proved a bit more difficult and fiddly to open. Some instructions would be useful, especially for the operation of the Induction Stovetop, and for the TV and how to get live TV channels such as BBC 1 and ITV 1.

"Lovely apartment in a great location!"
The location is fantastic, just a few minutes walk from West Hampstead into London. It’s a nice quiet street and the apartment was great as a base for London.
Bed was comfy and apartment had everything you could need. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the apartment as we were super busy being tourists which was made easy by the location!
What could be improved: I was concerned about security as the key opened the main front door and then the apartment door but I was worried that the other apartments who open the front door would also be able to open the apartment door. There is a camera outside which did make me feel better.
