Overview
First Impressions
Space ApartHotel sits on one of those lovely Georgian squares that makes London feel properly London-ish. You know the type — white stucco buildings wrapped around a garden square that looks like it belongs in a Jane Austen adaptation. The entrance is understated in that British way, and honestly, I almost walked past it the first time because it blends so seamlessly into the row of elegant townhouses.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about Kensington Garden Square — you’re close enough to Hyde Park that you can actually hear the horses from Hyde Park Stables in the morning, but tucked away from the tourist chaos. Bayswater and Queensway stations are both about a five-minute walk, which means you can get anywhere in central London without the fuss. The Lebanese restaurants on Edgware Road are practically around the corner, and if you head toward Notting Hill, you’ll hit some fantastic pubs that most visitors never find.
The Apartment Experience
What makes this place different is that each apartment actually feels like someone’s home rather than a hotel room. I stayed in a one-bedroom unit, and the kitchen was properly equipped — not just a kettle and mini-fridge situation. The living area had enough space to spread out, which is rare in London accommodations. The decor is modern without being sterile, though I’ll admit the furniture could use a refresh in some units.
The Details That Matter
The building retains those original Georgian features — high ceilings, large windows, period moldings — that make you feel like you’re staying in actual London rather than some generic hotel chain. The staff runs a pretty relaxed operation; there’s no stuffy front desk drama, just helpful folks who seem to know the neighborhood inside out. They’ve got a small gym tucked away somewhere, though I spent most mornings jogging around the square instead.
Why Guests Love It
This four-star property works because it gives you that residential London experience without the hassle of dealing with dodgy landlords or massive security deposits. You get your own space to cook breakfast or store groceries, but housekeeping still shows up to sort things out. The Wi-Fi actually works (crucial for anyone trying to navigate London’s transport apps), and the building stays quiet even though you’re in central London. It’s particularly good for longer stays — I mean, after a few days of hotel living, having a proper sofa and your own fridge starts to matter quite a bit.

"Amazing Stay!"
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was spacious and very comfortable, providing plenty of space to relax. I was impressed with the fully equipped kitchen, which made it easy to prepare meals during my stay. Another big plus is the location, the hotel is just a short walk from the train station, making it super convenient for getting around. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort and accessibility!

"Good location - needs some updating"
Great location and staff were really helpful when the app didn't work.
What could be improved: Bathroom wasn't cleaned properly - like it was ok, but definitely not spotless.
Also, just give guests room keys - the app is absolutely rubbish

"Nice big studio apartment in great location close to shops, restaurants and bus/tube"
Nice big studio apartment in great location close to shops, restaurants and bus/ tube. Quiet location for capital, but within walking distance of Hyde Park & West End. Good value for London.
What could be improved: Just need to fix flexible reading lights by bed ( which we did report).

"Superb"
We were in a duplex room, just great, bed in a loft, and even on the ground floor, window is on a quiet square, no noise. Excellent.

"Excellent location, excellent value for money!"
Ideal Notting Hill (with Kensington nearby) location right across from the park from the movie (I think).
What could be improved: Shower is a bit small but the kitchenette is a very fair trade off

"A real gem with good access to central London"
For reasonably priced accommodation in London this is a real gem. Friendly and helpful staff (although I didn't need them much as everything was great) and a good location. Beautifully clean with toiletries, tea and coffee makings and cleaning materials. The fridge is a bonus even if you don't intend to actually cook anything. Three small supermarkets within easy walking distance, lots of cafes, bakeries, restaurants as well as other utility shops like chemists. Opening windows (can be a challenge with city accommodation) and good (quiet) air conditioning. The hotel is over many floors, but there is a lift. Good transport links - 20 minute walk to Paddington, 30 minute train to King's Cross. A taxi/uber from central London was about £30 (but might be cheaper when there is no tube strike on).
What could be improved: I'm really trying to find something wrong, and only two things come to mind. There is no bedside unit (but no space for one) and the chairs were serviceable. BUT .. as a solo traveller I booked the smallest room I could, so I'm sure these features are available in larger rooms.
