Soho – Sleeps 6 – Luxury – Central
First Impressions
Soho – Sleeps 6 – Luxury – Central is tucked away in one of those converted Victorian buildings that make London feel so wonderfully layered with history. When I first walked up to 175 Glass House, I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical — the entrance is pretty unassuming from the street. But honestly, that’s part of what makes this four-star apartment special. You’re staying in the heart of Soho without any of the tourist hotel fuss.
Location & Neighborhood
The location is actually ridiculous in the best way possible. You’re literally surrounded by some of the city’s best theaters, restaurants, and pubs — I mean, you can stumble out the door and be at a West End show in five minutes. What I love is that you get all the energy of central London, but the apartment itself feels like a proper retreat from the madness. The Covent Garden market is just around the corner, and if you need groceries or essentials, there’s a Tesco Express practically next door.
The Space
Inside, this place sleeps six people comfortably, which is pretty rare for central London without paying through the nose. The kitchen is actually functional — not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes where you can barely make toast. I was able to cook proper meals, which saved me a fortune during my stay. The living area has this cozy, lived-in feel that makes you want to sprawl out with a cup of tea after walking around the city all day.
Comfort & Amenities
What really impressed me was how quiet it gets at night, despite being in the middle of everything. The windows do a great job of blocking out the street noise, so you’ll actually get some sleep. The WiFi is solid — worked perfectly for video calls back home — and there’s enough room for everyone to spread out without feeling cramped. The bathroom is modern and well-maintained, with decent water pressure, which you know can be hit or miss in older London buildings.
Why Guests Love It
Look, if you want the full London experience without staying in some generic hotel chain, this is exactly what you’re looking for. You get the independence of having your own space, the thrill of being in one of the world’s most vibrant neighborhoods, and enough room for a group to actually enjoy each other’s company. The 9.5 rating makes perfect sense — it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just really, really good at what it does. Plus, you’ll save money on meals since you can cook, which means more budget for theater tickets and proper pints.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
