Overview
First Impressions
The Small One bedroom flat near Covent garden isn’t trying to be fancy — and honestly, that’s part of its charm. Tucked away on New North Street in Camden, this three-star apartment feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel. You know what I mean? Sometimes you just want somewhere clean and comfortable without all the fuss.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about the location — while it says Covent Garden in the name, you’re actually in Camden, which works out brilliantly. You’re close enough to walk to London‘s theater district (about 15 minutes on foot), but you get to stay in one of the city’s most authentic neighborhoods. The Russell Square tube station is your best friend here, connecting you to the Piccadilly line. I actually prefer this setup because you avoid the tourist crowds right outside your door but can still reach everything easily.
The Space Itself
The room is exactly what it promises — a proper one-bedroom flat that doesn’t waste space. The kitchen is small but functional, with everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Sainsbury’s down the street instead of eating out every meal. The bed’s comfortable enough, and there’s decent storage space, which matters when you’re staying more than a couple nights. It’s clean, quiet, and the WiFi actually works well — trust me, that’s not always a given in London.
What Makes It Work
This place scores an 8.2 rating for good reason. It’s the little things — like having a proper workspace if you need to catch up on emails, or the fact that the shower has decent water pressure. The building feels secure, and the neighbors are mostly long-term residents, so it stays pretty quiet even on weekends. You’re also walking distance from some of Camden’s best pubs and that amazing Saturday market if you’re into browsing vintage finds and street food.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to wow you with a fancy lobby or room service, but it delivers on what matters most — value and location. You’re paying for a real London experience in a neighborhood where actual Londoners live, not just tourists taking photos. The flat gives you independence to explore at your own pace, and when you want the excitement of Covent Garden or the West End, it’s all within reach. For the price point, especially if you’re staying several days, it’s honestly hard to beat.

"Very nice place"
Great location, clean property, comfortable bed and a helpful host. It's a nice place to stay that has a balcony which provides privacy. The area is quiet - no excessive noise at night. It's close to bus stops, tube (Holborn=, lots of shops and takeaways nearby.
What could be improved: Small thing - the shower head kept dropping. The water in the shower was either hot or very hot, I couldn't figure out how to lower the temperature (the switch would not move).

"Superb"
The location was very central and easy to get around London, the rooms were very clean and towels & toilet paper + hair dryer and kitchen utensils were available. Super cute English breakfast places close by as wekk, we ended up eating everyday at Kozzy Cafe.

"Great place for its size."
The location close to the West End, Covent Garden and British Museum - all within walkin distance. The attitude and friendliness of the host. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom much larger than in most moderate hotels, with a decent stall shower (no climbing in and out of a slippery bathtub - tyoical in UK), and mixing taps.
What could be improved: The weather. The Booking.com system that did not pass emails to the host as it was supposed to - nor answer emails (except by robotic AI inanities) when I tried to ascertain why the host was not answering.

"This is a perfect location. It was our first time in London and we walked to everything. Fantastic"
Lock box is quick and easy; instructions were great. Pictures and simple to follow instructions. The location was amazing. Seemed like a 30-45 minute max walk in every direction to see the major sites.
What could be improved: We had trouble getting hot water; but was not a major issue.

"Ideal place to explore London"
Excelent location, close to bus stops, walking distance from the British Museum, very quiet for a good sleep, nice neighborhood. It's nice to have a kitchen and not to have to eat out every day, when you stay more than a few days. The host very accommodating with our check in time.
What could be improved: Nothing

"Bright London flat, good sized rooms, amazing location."
Location is fantastic. Close to the underground, several grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants. The place felt secure, it had good light. Rooms were a good size. Laundry in kitchen was great to have. Wifi was great. Close to British Museum.
What could be improved: A few issues with the water, shower to hot, kitchen no hot water. Our stay was in the summer and it was very hot in London. Despite opening windows it was very hot in the apartment. Would have been better if we had access to fans.

"The apartment was clean, comfortable, quiet, and well situated for sightseeing in London."
Location was great. Close to Holborn tube station which is quick connect to all major attractions, including theatres. Close to some great little pubs and souvenir shops.
What could be improved: There is a washer in the unit but no dryer. So you have to go to a little laundromat thru the alleyway and around corner to dry if you don’t have a clothesline or the extra time to hang dry. Probably not an issue if you aren’t staying many days.

"Exceptional"
The apartment was very nice and spacious and extremely close to both Holborn tube station (5 minutes on foot) and Covent Garden/Leicester Square (15-20 minutes on foot)
While being very close to a lot of theaters and restaurants it was also very quiet, which was a huge plus.
