Sleep 7 20 mins from London Waterloo BP65 sits on a quiet residential street in Wimbledon, and honestly, you’d walk right past it if you weren’t looking. It’s one of those unique boutique properties that feels more like staying at someone’s stylish home than a traditional hotel. The name tells you everything you need to know — this place is all about practicality with a dash of personality.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot: you’re genuinely 20 minutes from Waterloo, but you’re also in proper London suburbia where locals actually live. The train connections from nearby stations are solid, and you know what? Sometimes it’s nice to escape the tourist chaos and see how regular Londoners do things. There’s a decent pub around the corner and a little corner shop that’ll sort you out for basics.
The Room Experience
My room was compact but thoughtfully designed — someone clearly put effort into making the most of limited space. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and they’d managed to squeeze in a small seating area that actually worked. I mean, you’re not getting a massive suite here, but everything felt clean and well-maintained. The Wi-Fi was reliable, which matters more than fancy amenities when you’re trying to stay connected.
Practical Details
There’s no fancy restaurant or elaborate breakfast setup, but they’ve got the basics covered. The staff were genuinely helpful — not just going through the motions, but actually interested in making sure you’re sorted. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area, so I’d recommend checking on that if you’re driving in from outside London.

You get the convenience of decent transport links, a neighborhood that feels authentic, and a place that does what it promises without any fuss. "Definitely will not recommend it."
The location - directly next to underground and many shops and restaurants. Modern design.
What could be improved: First of all we got another apartment than I’ve booked without prior information about the change and the reason of that and there was missing bedsheets/towels for 2 people. First property’s owner didn’t pick up the phone but just wanted to text on WhatsApp, but after some try picked up and said that there is no difference with what I’ve booked and what we get, and that the bunk bed that supposed to be in the booked apartment just broke the day before that’s why they needed to change it. Bedsheets/towels were provided after around 1 hour.
Luckily cause of this situation we stayed in the apartment longer and on the way out there were 2 guys standing in front of our door, with the extra key to our apartment, not speaking English, that came to get some bag with unknown stuff in it. We didn’t get information about it from the owner, that’s a big security breach for us.
To enter the building was needed a code or fobs that were not provided in the beginning. After discussion with the owner in the end we got one.
AC display on the wall was broken/blocked, we contacted the owner that just sent us a video how to use the display at first. Then we explained again, even with the video that the display that doesn’t work. After long time there came a guy that just confirmed that the display is broken, nothing got fixed during our whole stay.
Poorly equipped kitchen with only one table spoon for 6 people. No teaspoons, just few forks and knifes. Just one small pot. No towel in the kitchen, no oven mitt. Equipment was not well cleaned. No cleaning stuff at all in the apartment.
Beds were for us not comfy, very soft and you could feel the springs.

"Exceptional"
Property was a great size with everything nedded in the flat. Also, in a great location, rite by the tube station, gym,shops, pubs, and lots more will definitely be rebooking if we're in that area again.
What could be improved: There wasn't anything I could moan about.

It had no mop and a broom to atleast wipe off spillages or dirt during our stay .

"At a perfect location with a bit of hassles..."
The main advantage of this property is its proximity to the 'Colliers Wood' underground station, which is conveniently visible from the apartment windows. The apartment was equipped with kitchenettes, making it easy to prepare meals.
The property staff was very helpful. They promptly refilled supplies when we asked. The property manager was especially accommodating, assisting us in getting alternate keys when needed. Additionally, the building reception staff, Roshan and Freddy, were exceptionally kind and responsive. Although they were not directly associated with the property, they went out of their way to store our luggage on the last day after checkout, which we greatly appreciated
What could be improved: There was no one available to assist with check-in and the instructions provided were poor. We found ourselves waiting outside the Britannia Point building with no clear idea of how to get in. Eventually, a resident let us in, but this is not an acceptable method for guest access.
All lifts were out of order for half of our stay. With plenty of luggage and aged family members, we struggled to manage. Thankfully, the apartment was on the 1st floor, otherwise, we might have had to leave.
While shower gels, toilet paper, and towels were provided, they were insufficient. We had to repeatedly request extra towels and supplies. Though the property staff was responsive and resolved these issues, it would have been better to have an adequate supply from the start, especially given the cost of the stay. This level of inconvenience is not something we've experienced with other BnBs.
Although the property was cost-effective, for just a bit more money, one could likely find a more comfortable and well-equipped BnB.

"Never again! Unsafe stay, poor communication, unresolved issues, and a serious security breach."
What could be improved: We had an incredibly negative experience when staying at one of the properties hosted by 'Aura'. It has been months since, and no action has been taken by Booking.com or by the Hosts.
We are incredibly disappointed by the service we have received from the hosts, as we have encountered multiple significant issues during our stay.
Please see an outline of our experiences below.
- Notified of change of property two hours before check-in whilst we were travelling to London.
- Notified of change via WhatsApp despite requesting this to be updated on booking.com, this felt very unsafe and informal.
- No notification of multiple flights of steps - had both an elderly and heavily pregnant guest who found this incredibly challenging.
- No use of the oven, which we were told would be rectified.
- Not enough towels provided.
- Told we could not use the shower due to leaks in the apartment below. This was not resolved during our stay and we were expected to stay without showering for two days.
- The shower only worked half the time (when we were allowed to use it) and flooded the bathroom due to poor sealing and drainage - this made the bathroom unsafe and slippery.
- Most concerningly, the apartment was broken into in the night, leaving the lock broken and the apartment easy to access. We were told this would be resolved urgently the next day, this did not happen, meaning we and our belongings were left in a dangerous and vulnerable situation. As the lock was broken, we had to resort to using belts to secure the property.
Not only is this unacceptable, but also incredibly unsafe. Despite multiple attempts at contact, there were no attempts to safeguard and protect us as guests. We are still waiting for a refund or any acknowledgement from the property.

"THIS PLACE IS A SCAM AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE"
What could be improved: This place is a scam. They sent me a whatsapp saying they are cancellig my booking due to a leak and they have still yet to refund me. They are not even answering my message from booking.com or via whatsapp which they sent me a message saying they are cancelling the booking. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM BECAUSE I AM TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK and I have to go through booking.com. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM.

I liked nothing messed around by cancelling hosts who then accused me of being a no show !
