Overview
First Impressions
I’ll be honest — when I first saw the name Room with luxury private bathroom and independent entrance near Tube, I thought it sounded more like a Craigslist ad than a proper hotel. But you know what? Sometimes the most straightforward places surprise you the most. This four-star spot on Raleigh Road in London doesn’t mess around with fancy marketing speak, and that’s actually refreshing.
The Setup
What you’re getting here is essentially a private room in what feels like a well-maintained London home, but with all the independence of a hotel stay. The separate entrance means you’re not awkwardly bumping into anyone’s family at breakfast — you come and go as you please. The private bathroom is genuinely well-appointed, with proper water pressure (which, let’s face it, can be hit or miss in London accommodations).
Location & Getting Around
Raleigh Road sits in Crouch End, which is one of those North London neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often miss. You’re actually in a really sweet spot here — close enough to central London that the Tube connections work well, but far enough out that you get a genuine sense of how Londoners actually live. The nearest station is Turnpike Lane, and honestly, the walk through the residential streets gives you those classic London moments with Victorian terraces and corner pubs that feel completely authentic.
What Makes It Work
The independence factor is huge here. You get your own key, your own space, and none of that hotel lobby formality. I mean, sometimes you just want to grab a takeaway curry from the local spot and eat it in peace without worrying about hotel dining room hours. The bathroom setup is particularly well thought out — it’s not some cramped afterthought but feels like it was designed with actual comfort in mind.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but for travelers who want authentic London living without the hassle of a full apartment rental, it hits the mark. The 8.7 rating tells you something — people appreciate getting exactly what’s promised without the usual hotel nonsense. Plus, Crouch End has this village-y feel that makes you understand why people actually choose to live in London rather than just endure it. You’ll find yourself walking to the local coffee shops and actually enjoying the neighborhood rather than just using it as a place to crash between tourist attractions.

"A very convenient, nice and tidy place."
The location is excellent, very beautiful neighbourhood near supermarkets and coffee stores, 5-8min walk from the underground and you need maximum 20 minutes to get to the centre of London. The room is very clean and tidy, kinda small but perfect for 5 nights(if you have big luggage there isn’t much space to put them, especially open). There was a paper with some recommendations for local restaurants and things to do around the area. There were some shampoo and conditioner too. The temperature in the room was normal.
What could be improved: The only problem was the gap between the two doors of the bathroom that doesn’t give enough privacy. Also you need to keep the bathroom window open to get rid of the shower humidity but that’s kinda normal for the uk. Also the pillows on the bed (4) were a bit thin but we slept well.

"Very good"
It was very near the underground, with many restaurants and stores around. It was warm and comfortable, with a nice bathtub for a relaxing bath. It has a handy kettle, with a wide variety of teas available, even with sugar, milk and some biscuits, lovely at the end of a day exploring London.
What could be improved: My only complaint would be that you can hear everything from the rest of the house. I woke up early, but you want to sleep in, you’ll hear lots of noise from the family next door during most of the day.

"Great find for a short stay."
Easy to find and access. Lovely room and excellent bathroom. Very comfy bed. Kettle with tea and coffee (decaff too) and snacks. A range of toietries available.
Nice choice of lighting. Location great for food options.
What could be improved: It would have been nice to have a slightly bigger table to put things on.

"A great little place"
The location couldn't have been better for our needs. The bed was very comfy, and great to have a reading light on each side of the bed. Also a decent size rack for hanging clothes. A nice selection of teas, and a good supply of biscuits. The bathroom was very luxurious, and everything was spotless. The owners were very helpful, and were prompt to reply to any queries, and arranged the parking for us. Excellent value for money
What could be improved: Some sort of lighting outside by the door would be useful for late night returns, or a note to bring a torch

"As described! Comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom"
Just as pictured. Super comfortable bed. Delightfully luxurious bathroom. And a good amount of space for luggage and other stuff.
What could be improved: It would have been nice to have a desk in the room. There was a lightweight folding table with assorted teas which was lovely! But a table would have been nice to have.

"Excellent location to hung around in North London!!"
Excellent location. Easy to travel to where we hang around (Comden town)
The room was very clean with a fabulous bathroom :)
I want to book the room again definitely!!
What could be improved: Only one thing. If there's no gap between the bathroom doors, the room would be perfect.

It's very new and clean. The Turnpike Lane Underground station is just within a few minutes walking distance. Same with supermarkets and a shopping street. Nice and quite neighbourhood.

"Not great, not terrible"
The room looks exactly like in the pictures. The host was responsive and the check-in was smooth. The bathroom was fully equipped and we even had an outlet adapter. 5 min walk to the tube station and easy access to central London
What could be improved: The room could have been cleaner. There were some cobwebs and dust in the room. The only window you could open was in the bathroom. The room is an annex to the main house and there is an inside door to the rest of the house. The door was blocked, but you could hear EVERYTHING happening in the rest of the house
