First Impressions
RelaxatHome isn’t your typical hotel — honestly, calling it a hotel almost feels wrong. Tucked away on Goodmayes Avenue in Seven Kings, this unique boutique property feels more like staying at a friend’s beautifully designed house. There’s no star rating because, well, it doesn’t fit into those neat little categories hotels usually squeeze themselves into.
Location & Getting Around
Seven Kings might not be the first area tourists think of, but that’s actually what makes this place work. You’re in a proper residential neighborhood in London, away from the tourist crowds but still connected to everything. The local train station gets you into central London in about 30 minutes, and I mean — sometimes you just want to come back to somewhere that feels real after a day of sightseeing.
The Space
What struck me first was how much this feels like an actual home. Each room has its own personality, and the owners have clearly put thought into making guests feel comfortable rather than just… accommodated. The décor walks that fine line between stylish and livable — you know what I mean? It’s Instagram-worthy but you won’t be afraid to actually use the furniture.
The attention to detail is what gets you. Good coffee setup, proper lighting for reading, and they’ve thought about the little things that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just crashing overnight.
The Experience
This is where RelaxatHome really shines — it’s all about the personal touch. The owners are genuinely helpful (not in that overly scripted hotel way), and they know the area well enough to point you toward the good local spots. There’s a restaurant just down the road that does excellent Pakistani food, which I never would’ve found on my own.
Breakfast isn’t your standard hotel buffet situation. They do it more like a proper home-cooked meal, and honestly, it sets you up for the day better than most places twice the price.
Why Guests Love It
Look, if you’re expecting concierge service and marble lobbies, this isn’t your place. But if you want somewhere that feels authentic and welcoming — somewhere you can actually relax rather than just sleep — then you get it. The 7.5 rating makes sense because it delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not.
It’s perfect for travelers who want to experience London like locals do, rather than bouncing between tourist attractions and expensive hotel bars. Plus, you’ll probably spend less money overall since you’re not paying inflated central London prices for everything.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
