First Impressions
Walking into Radisson RED London Twickenham, you immediately notice this isn’t your typical business hotel. The bold red accents and contemporary design feel fresh and energetic — honestly, it’s a welcome change from the stuffy traditional places you usually find in this part of London. The staff greets you with genuine warmth, and there’s this buzz in the lobby that makes you feel like you’re part of something cooler than just another overnight stay.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about staying in Twickenham — you’re actually in a proper London neighborhood, not some touristy bubble. Whitton Road might not sound glamorous, but you’re literally a stone’s throw from Twickenham Stadium (rugby fans, you know what I’m talking about). The train station is maybe a 10-minute walk, and from there you can reach central London in about 30 minutes. Plus, the area has this village-y feel with decent pubs and cafes that locals actually use.
The Room Experience
The room design is where this four-star hotel really shines. Everything feels modern without being cold — think sleek furniture with pops of that signature red, and tech that actually works (the bedside charging points are perfectly placed, thank goodness). The beds are seriously comfortable, and the rainfall shower is one of those small luxuries that makes a difference after a long day exploring London. I mean, the rooms aren’t huge, but they’re cleverly designed so you don’t feel cramped.
Dining & Social Spaces
The restaurant downstairs serves food that’s actually worth eating — not just hotel food that you tolerate. They do a solid brunch on weekends, and their evening menu has some interesting twists on comfort food. What I really appreciate is the bar area, which doubles as a co-working space during the day. You’ll find a mix of business travelers, locals, and tourists, which creates this nice, unpretentious atmosphere that’s hard to find in London hotels.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it doesn’t try too hard to be something it’s not. The parking situation is straightforward (always a relief in London), and the whole experience feels authentic rather than manufactured. You’re getting solid comfort, genuine service, and a location that gives you a real taste of London life beyond the tourist trail. For the price point, it’s honestly one of the better choices if you want something with personality that won’t break the bank.
