Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to 100 Queen’s Gate Hotel London Kensington, Curio Collection by Hilton feels like approaching someone’s rather grand Victorian townhouse — which, honestly, is pretty much what it is. The white-columned facade sits perfectly among the elegant terraced houses of South Kensington, and you’d almost miss it if not for the discreet signage. I mean, this is exactly how a boutique luxury hotel should blend into one of London‘s most sophisticated neighborhoods.
Location Perfection
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re literally across from Hyde Park — I’m talking a 30-second walk to the park gates. The Natural History Museum is practically around the corner, and the Victoria & Albert Museum is maybe a three-minute stroll. But here’s the thing locals know: Queen’s Gate is one of those streets where you get all the South Kensington benefits without the tourist chaos that hits Exhibition Road.
The Room Experience
The rooms here are what I’d call “thoughtfully luxurious” — not flashy, but everything feels considered and expensive in that understated British way. My room had these gorgeous high ceilings (Victorian bones, you know) but with thoroughly modern comfort. The marble bathroom was actually spacious, which is saying something for central London. Plus, if you’re lucky enough to get a park-facing room, those views over Hyde Park are pretty special, especially in the morning light.
Dining and Amenities
The ground-floor restaurant has this lovely, intimate atmosphere — it’s the kind of place where you can have a proper business dinner or a romantic meal without feeling like you’re in a hotel dining room. The menu leans modern British with some international touches, and honestly, the breakfast here is far better than it needs to be. There’s also a cozy bar area that feels more like a gentleman’s club than a typical hotel lounge.
Why Guests Love It
This five-star property gets it right because it doesn’t try too hard. It’s refined without being stuffy, luxurious without being ostentatious. The staff genuinely seem to understand that guests want to feel like they’re staying somewhere special, not just checking into another chain hotel. And that location — well, you just can’t beat being steps from Hyde Park and three of London’s best museums while still feeling like you’re in a residential neighborhood rather than a tourist district.

"Great!"
The cleaning, the room space, decor and employees.
They responded fast when an electric trip happens on the last day of our stay and just before our airport left.
What could be improved: I prefer having a bathroom on the lower level of the room, so if I came with kids they would easy get the sofa bed and access the bathroom on the same level.
Also, access to a balcony would be great!
Lastly, our neighbors were noisy. Not the kids, it was one of the parents.

"Very nice well run facility. Has a lot of style and ease in great staff."
Searching on the Internet
What could be improved: I wish there was self-serve coffee in the lobby 24/7
Also did not like that I had to go up to too many flights of stairs to get to my room 229. If there was an elevator to that floor without going upstairs or downstairs, I did not know that.
Would be nice to have a variety of pillows. Mine were super fat and bulky, and I requested two flatter smaller ones of which I did get. .
I think there should be snacks available in the room

"Good"
The lobby was cozy and the rooms where decorated with good taste.
What could be improved: Our room didn´t have a clear window. It couldn´t be opened. And very unpleasant the glas was lit from behind which made the room very bright during the night.

Situated in the nice area of Soth Kensington the hotel is really nice, has a ecellent position near south kensington tube station where you have piccadilly, district and circle line. Very clean, very nice staff. I did not have the breackfast there so I can not say anything regarding it. The room was small but in line with London offer and had everything you need. Confortable bed.
What could be improved: Small room but in line with London
Window with glass covered by a white layer, so no view, not idea for a clautrophobic person.

"A well situated well organised clean hotel that is suitsble for a short stay ."
The location was well with in walking distance from the Royal Albert hall , our sign in was well organized . Breakfast was excellent but I would have expected a normal thing like smoked salmon to be available, we obviously arrived at a busy time and were show to our seats and then just left to get on with it .
What could be improved: The room felt very small more suited to single occupant although we were only there for one night one of us had to sit on the bed to rest as there was only one comfy chair, I would think twice about booking the same room again . It would have been better to be informed that the front of the hotel was covered in scaffolding and netting Maybe to let us know this was a temporary look !! To the entrance to the hotel.

"Lovely hotel with small rooms but great feeling of a small hotel."
Staff was extremely helpful. Metro was on strike and hotel assisted us getting transportation to various locations. I had a problem with my plug converter and staff quickly helped and solved my problem. Lunggae was delivered in a timely fashion and also picked up at departure. Staff was very helpful !
