Pretty Little Studios
First Impressions
Pretty Little Studios lives up to its name — there’s something genuinely charming about this place that hits you right when you walk in. Tucked into a gorgeous Victorian crescent in London‘s Kensington, it feels more like staying in a well-designed friend’s place than a typical hotel. The four-star property has this relaxed, residential vibe that I honestly wasn’t expecting, and the 8.5 rating makes total sense once you settle in.
The Perfect Kensington Spot
Location-wise, you’ve really struck gold here. Eardley Crescent is one of those quiet, tree-lined streets that locals actually live on — no tourist buses clogging things up. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Earl’s Court tube station, which means you can be in central London in about fifteen minutes. What I love though is how you’re close enough to South Kensington’s museums (the V&A is practically around the corner) but far enough from the crowds that you can actually breathe.
Your Studio Space
The studios themselves are where this place really shines. Each room feels like a proper little apartment rather than just a hotel room with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. The kitchenette setup is actually functional — I mean, you could legitimately cook a decent meal here if you wanted to. The beds are comfortable, the Wi-Fi works (always a relief), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped.
Daily Life Here
What struck me most was how the staff just sort of… gets it. They’re helpful without being overly formal, and they know the neighborhood well enough to point you toward that great little restaurant on Old Brompton Road or tell you which Tesco Express has the best selection. There’s no fancy concierge desk, but honestly, you don’t need one — the front desk team covers everything you’d actually want to know. Parking can be tricky in this area (it’s London, after all), but they’ll sort you out with options nearby.
Why Guests Love It
Here’s the thing about Pretty Little Studios — it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. You won’t find a spa or a rooftop bar, but you will find a place that feels like home base in one of London’s best neighborhoods. The value is solid, especially considering you’re getting proper living space in Kensington without paying Knightsbridge prices. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to hang around in your room for a bit, maybe grab some groceries and make coffee in the morning instead of rushing out immediately. For travelers who want independence but still appreciate good service, this place just works.
