Parkside 3 Bed Apartment Hackney
First Impressions
When I first walked up to Parkside 3 Bed Apartment Hackney, I’ll be honest — the building itself doesn’t scream luxury hotel. But that’s exactly what makes this place work so well in London. It’s tucked right into the fabric of Hackney Road, which means you’re getting the real East London experience rather than some sanitized tourist version.
Location & The Hackney Vibe
This four-star apartment sits right in the heart of what locals call “proper Hackney” — not the gentrified bits, but the area that still has character. You’re actually on the border between Hackney and Tower Hamlets, which gives you access to both neighborhoods. The Regent’s Canal is a short walk away, and honestly, that walk along the water to Broadway Market on Saturdays became one of my favorite London routines.
The Space Itself
What struck me most was how this feels like someone’s actual home rather than a hotel room. The three bedrooms are properly sized — not those cramped London shoebox affairs you sometimes get. The main kitchen has everything you’d actually want to use, including a decent-sized fridge and proper cooking equipment. I mean, when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights, being able to make your own coffee the way you like it makes all the difference.
The living area has this lived-in comfort that I really appreciated. There’s enough space for everyone to spread out, which is rare in London accommodation. The windows let in good natural light, and you get glimpses of local life happening on Hackney Road — which I found more interesting than staring at another hotel courtyard.
Getting Around From Here
Cambridge Heath station is your closest rail connection, about a 10-minute walk that takes you through some lovely residential streets. But honestly, I found myself using the buses more often — the number 55 runs right past the door and gets you to Oxford Circus in about 20 minutes. The 277 takes you south toward Greenwich, which turned out to be one of my favorite discoveries during the stay.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you breathing room in a city that doesn’t offer much of it. You’re not paying Shoreditch prices, but you’re close enough to walk there when you want the bars and buzz. The apartment setup means families or groups can actually spend time together comfortably — something that’s surprisingly hard to find in London hotels. Plus, there’s something satisfying about being able to grab groceries at the local shops and cook dinner while planning your next day’s adventures.
The 9-star rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the location. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t — just a comfortable, well-equipped base for exploring one of London’s most authentic neighborhoods.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
