First Impressions
Honestly, Pacific Inn London Heathrow isn’t going to win any design awards, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need. This two-star spot on The Broadway in Southall feels more like a reliable friend than a flashy date — it’s there when you need it, without any pretense. The lobby’s pretty basic, but the staff actually seem to care about getting you sorted quickly.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s brilliant about staying in Southall? You’re getting the real London experience without the tourist markup. The Broadway buzzes with authentic Indian restaurants, grocery shops, and that lived-in energy you just don’t find in central London. Sure, it’s about 30 minutes to central London by tube, but Southall station is literally a few minutes’ walk away. Plus, if you’re flying out of Heathrow, you’re golden — the airport’s maybe 15 minutes by car, which beats the hell out of dragging luggage across London at 5 AM.
The Room
Let me be straight with you — these aren’t Instagram-worthy rooms, but they’re clean and functional. My room had everything I actually needed: a decent bed, a small desk, and a bathroom that worked properly. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly solid, which honestly matters more to me than fancy throw pillows. There’s no air conditioning, but the windows open properly, and I stayed comfortable even during a warm spell in July.
Practical Stuff
The breakfast isn’t included, but there’s a café downstairs that does a proper English breakfast for a fair price. I mean, you could also just walk two minutes and get incredible South Asian food for less money — that’s the beauty of this location. Parking can be a bit tricky on The Broadway itself, but there are some side streets where you can usually find a spot. The front desk folks know the area well and actually gave me useful tips about avoiding traffic to the airport.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
Look, this isn’t a place you’d book for a romantic getaway, but if you need somewhere clean, affordable, and genuinely well-positioned for either Heathrow or exploring authentic London, it works brilliantly. I’ve stayed here three times now — twice for early flights and once when I was visiting friends in West London. The value is solid, the neighborhood’s got character, and you’re not paying for amenities you won’t use. Sometimes simple and reliable beats fancy and overpriced, especially when you’re just passing through.
