Overview
First Impressions
The Old Street Studio with Washer and Dryer sits right in the heart of Hackney on Nile Street, and honestly, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a well-thought-out London studio. Walking up to the building, you get that classic East London vibe — nothing fancy, but everything feels authentic. The apartment is on the sixth floor, and while there’s no lift, the climb actually gives you a nice preview of the neighborhood through the stairwell windows.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what I love about this spot? You’re genuinely in London‘s creative quarter without paying Shoreditch prices. Old Street station is maybe a 10-minute walk, which means you can be in the City or West End pretty quickly. But the real charm is local — there’s this brilliant little Turkish place around the corner that does incredible breakfast, and the Sunday farmers market on Broadway Market is just a short bus ride away.
The Space
This three-star studio makes smart use of every square inch, I’ll give it that. The room works as both living and sleeping space without feeling cramped, which is honestly impressive for London. What really sets it apart though is having your own washer and dryer right there — you have no idea how much this matters until you’re traveling for more than a few days. The kitchen area has everything you actually need (good coffee maker, decent fridge, proper cooktop) rather than just the bare minimum you sometimes get in studio rentals.
Practical Details
The wifi is solid — I mean really solid, which matters if you’re working remotely or just trying to stream something after a long day of sightseeing. Hot water pressure is good, and the heating actually works properly, which isn’t always a given in older London buildings. There’s no parking included, but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway. The buses run frequently, and you’ve got bike hire stations nearby if that’s your thing.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to wow you with fancy amenities or concierge service, but it does something more valuable — it gives you a real taste of living in East London rather than just visiting. The rating of 8.3 makes sense because it delivers exactly what it promises: a clean, functional space in a genuinely interesting part of the city. You’ll spend your evenings exploring local pubs and markets rather than hiding in a hotel restaurant, which is sort of the point of staying in Hackney anyway.

"A fantastic place close to town and commuting/ walking areas.i highly recommend it"
The place was very clean and fresh. It was a 2 minute walk to bus stops into the city centre and a xx handy Tesco at the same bus stop location.
What could be improved: The front door key system could be difficult to se at night if you wanted to enter it quickly.

"Loved every moment I was there"
Everything was great. Definitely will come again next year and will recommend my friends to come and stay there. The area is amazing and quiet but still very close to everything you need. You have everything in the room and if you have any question the owner is always willing to help. The room is really pretty and comfortable

What could be improved: L'unico difetto dell'appartamento è la scala interna per raggiungerlo.

Buena ubicación, cerca del metro Old Street.
What could be improved: El agua caliente era dificil de regular.

"Very good"
