Overview
First Impressions
NOX Belsize Park sits on Haverstock Hill like it’s been there forever, though honestly, the sleek exterior tells a different story. This three-star spot in London caught my eye because it’s not trying too hard — you know what I mean? The entrance is understated but modern, and there’s something refreshing about a hotel that doesn’t assault you with marble and gold the moment you walk in.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about Belsize Park — it’s properly residential, which means you’re living like a local rather than being stuck in tourist central. The Belsize Park tube station is literally a few minutes’ walk away, and I actually love this because you can be in Camden Market in about ten minutes or zip into central London without the hassle. The neighborhood has this village-y feel that’s rare in London, with proper cafes and that cute Hampstead Heath nearby if you fancy a morning jog.
The Room Experience
My room was compact but clever — they’ve maximized every inch without making it feel cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the rainfall shower was one of those small luxuries that made the morning routine actually pleasant. What I appreciated most was the attention to lighting — there are enough options that you’re not squinting at your book or dealing with harsh overhead glare.
Dining & Amenities
The on-site restaurant serves modern British fare that’s better than it needs to be, honestly. I had the fish and chips one evening — properly crispy batter, not greasy — and their breakfast selection hits the right notes without being overwhelming. There’s also a small fitness area that gets the job done if you need to work off that full English breakfast. The staff genuinely seemed to know the area well, which is rarer than you’d think.
Why Guests Love It
Look, NOX Belsize Park works because it gets the basics right and adds just enough personality to feel special. You’re paying for a solid night’s sleep in a neighborhood that feels authentic, with easy access to everything London has to offer. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax after a day of sightseeing, rather than feeling like you’re camping in a tourist trap. The 8.2 rating makes sense — it’s not perfect, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises.

"Absolutely lovely little hotel"
Staff were lovely, room was clean and comfy and super near the roundhouse where I had an event. Would stay again way nice and convenient
What could be improved: Washing was left on stairs when I came back in, had to climb over bags but was late at night so I assumed I just caught it at a bad time when they were clearing. Was not a problem at all other than slightly difficult to get around

"Would definitely stay here again"
This hotel was in a great location. a 3 min walk to the nearest Underground, which was a 10 minute tube from Central London. Our room was very clean, big TV, good shower, and even had a hob for cooking on, which we didn't use. Access to building was easy and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The area was quiet and had a few nice cafe's around.
What could be improved: I have no faults for my stay here on this occasion.

"Clean, comfortable, convenient but noisy."
Really convenient. Cheap. No nonsense. Clean. Comfortable.
What could be improved: I happen to be in the room on the ground floor directly next to the entrance and right on the main road. It was very noisy as a result. I wish I’d brought some ear plugs.

"Clean and comfortable boutique hotel"
Our room was just right, it had everything you could want for a weekend in London. The bed was extremely comfortable and although the hotel is on a main road this didn't interrupt our sleep. Our room was on the Lower Ground floor so didn't have a window but there was plenty of lighting in the room. Being on the LG probably also helped reduce the street noise so we were more than happy. We had a little kitchenette so we could heat up food if needed and there was a kettle and coffee maker. We also had an en suite shower room and toilet so we had everything we needed.
What could be improved: The outside of the hotel looked a little tired and seeing all the different 'bells' at the front made us worry about what the inside would be like but our fears were unfounded. Everything inside was modern, clean and well presented. I marked it slightly down for facilities because there is no bar, restaurant, breakfast room or even a vending machine so no chance of getting anything to eat or drink once you're in the hotel. BUT there are plenty of places around to grab food / drink and we had the kitchenette so again not too much of a problem for us.

"It was very easy staying and in many ways comfortable to stay at Nox Hotel. The staff was very nice and without being in"
Although a small room, it had everything we needed
What could be improved: The tabs on the bathroom wall were far too high up on the wall . Therefore it was literately impossible to use it because the water just splashed all over.
