Nice 1BR IN C-London near Oxford Street sits on New Cavendish Street, and honestly, the name tells you exactly what you’re getting — no fancy marketing nonsense here. It’s a straightforward apartment rental that does what it promises, though I’ll admit the ground floor location took some getting used to. The building itself is typical Georgian London architecture, which means high ceilings and those classic white facades you see everywhere in this part of Westminster.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s actually brilliant about this spot? You’re literally a five-minute walk from Oxford Street, but far enough away that you won’t hear the tourist chaos at night. New Cavendish Street is one of those quiet residential roads where locals actually live — I saw the same dog walker three mornings in a row. The nearest tube station is Oxford Circus, though honestly, Great Portland Street is probably easier if you’re carrying luggage.
The Space
This four-star place is basically a proper one-bedroom flat, not some cramped hotel room pretending to be bigger than it is. The kitchen is small but functional — I mean, you can actually cook a meal here, which is rare for central London accommodation. The living area flows nicely into the bedroom space, and there’s enough storage that you won’t be living out of your suitcase for a week-long stay.
Practical Details
The ground floor thing is either great or annoying, depending on your perspective. No stairs with heavy bags (brilliant), but you do get the occasional pedestrian peering through the windows (less brilliant). The Wi-Fi actually works properly, and the shower has decent pressure — two things that sound basic but you’d be surprised how many London places get wrong. There’s no parking included, but honestly, you don’t want a car in this part of town anyway.
Why Guests Love It
What sets this place apart is that it feels like staying in someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental. The owner clearly lives in London and understands what travelers need — proper coffee, decent towels, and enough space to spread out after a day of sightseeing. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I find refreshing in a city full of overpriced “boutique” accommodations that promise the world and deliver airport hotel vibes.

"Memorable 1 week stay in London"
I booked this place for a family trip (myself and my parents) and we absolutely enjoyed our stay:
Apt: The ground-floor location was ideal for my parents, making access easy. Check-in was seamless thanks to clear instructions and gate/door codes provided in advance. The apartment is spacious enough for three people—we stayed for a week without any issues. The kitchen was well-equipped with pots and pans, which made it easy for us to cook breakfast daily and dinner a few times. The washing machine and dishwasher were very convenient, and unlike other places, the host kindly provided pods for both. During our stay, London was unusually hot, so the fans in the bedroom and living room were a welcome touch. The blackout blinds also helped us sleep well despite the early / late summer light and the noise from the street was minimal. The bathroom was stocked with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner—another thoughtful detail.
Location: The apartment is centrally located, just opposite the University of Westminster, with easy access to transport. We used Uber, Free Now, and taxis, all readily available just outside. Covent Garden is a 20-minute walk, Oxford Circus about 15 minutes, and the neighborhood has plenty of restaurants. There's also a Tesco less than a 2-minute walk away for groceries.
Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay—highly recommended!
What could be improved: Just one minor thing: I think this is true of all European Dryers - they do not dry the clothes completely. However there was a cloth rack available that we used for drying clothes.

Location, very central and amenities were good
What could be improved: Being on the ground floor and next to the main entrance meant it was very noisy and if the front door was not closed properly there is a constant bleeping to alert you and it appeared that only our flat could hear this as we seemed to be the ones to get up and shut the door. Also as on ground floor, unable to open the windows as did not feel it would be secure. Also unable to use the tumble dryer - looked straight forward enough but did not dry our clothes. Perhaps leave some simple instructions on how to use, otherwise very happy with our stay.

Proximity to Oxford Street, modern, clean, great kitchen, spacious, private.
What could be improved: Street noise, main entrance door slamming continually, TV not connected to satellite/internet, bathroom light turns off when you are in the shower, could do with a coffee table in the living room!

"10/10 will be booking for my next trip"
Stayed here with two friends for a birthday weekend, couldn’t fault a thing. The bed was the comfiest thing in the world and the fold out bed was also very comfortable. Great amenities in the property also. Key pad was very handy as there was no need to worry about keys and felt very secure
What could be improved: Wouldn’t recommend to sleep on the couch, but as I said the fold out mattress was more than acceptable. The couch was still not bad when folded out

Апартаментът е хубав с добро местоположение. Добро впечатление направи, че имаше оставени 3 шишенца с вода! В кухнята има работещи фурна, микровълнова печка, тостер, абсорбатор и електрическа кана. Отоплението е отлично. Налице са работещи телевизор и ютия, има дори принтер с хартия. Намира се на първи жилищен етаж и се чуват всички влизащи и излизащи, особено ако някой не затвори добре входната врата - заключващия механизъм започва да пищи докато някой не отиде да затвори вратата така, че тя да се заключи. Причината за ниската ми оценка е ДИВАНЪТ. Не е удобен за спане, защото е издънен в частта за сядане, а след като се разпъне за спане по среда е много твърд и трябва да се избере мястото за спане - върху седалката или върху облегалката. За да може да си почине всеки добре и тримата се изредихме да спим на него....
