Overview

First Impressions

When I first stepped into Newly refurbished flat w terrace – Pass the Keys, honestly, the name doesn’t do it justice. This four-star property in Lewisham feels more like staying at a design-savvy friend’s place than a typical rental. The refurbishment is clearly fresh — you can tell by those crisp paint lines and the way everything just feels… intentional, you know?

The Space Itself

The apartment flows really well, which isn’t always a given with London properties. The living area opens up nicely, and there’s this sense of space that surprised me — Lewisham flats aren’t usually known for being roomy. What really got me though was the kitchen setup. It’s actually functional, not just there for show, with proper counter space where you can spread out if you’re doing more than just reheating takeaway.

That Terrace Though

But honestly? The terrace is where this place really shines. It’s not huge, but it’s perfectly sized for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. I mean, having any outdoor space in London is a win, but this one catches decent light and feels properly private. You’re not staring directly into your neighbor’s window, which is more than I can say for most places around here.

Location Reality Check

Look, Lewisham isn’t trendy like Shoreditch or polished like Kensington — but that’s actually part of its appeal. You’re getting real London life here, with proper neighborhood pubs and that brilliant covered market just a short walk away. The DLR connections are solid too, so getting into central London doesn’t become this whole production. Plus, there’s decent parking availability on the surrounding streets, which anyone who’s driven in London will tell you is basically a miracle.

Why Guests Love It

What strikes me about this place is how it manages to feel both fresh and lived-in at the same time. The 9.4 rating makes sense when you experience it — everything works properly, the space feels thoughtfully put together, and you’re not constantly bumping into quirks that remind you this is a rental. It’s the kind of place where you actually unpack your suitcase instead of living out of it for your entire stay, if that makes sense.

"Exceptional"
This Airbnb is exceptionally well-located. There is a convenience store directly across from the front entrance, making it easy to replenish daily necessities. The property is less than a one-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, and approximately a seven-minute walk from St. John Railway Station. The host was highly responsive—queries and requests were addressed promptly and efficiently. Overall, it was a very pleasant and convenient stay.
What could be improved: However, there is room for improvement in terms of cleanliness. The wardrobe contained a pile of towels, some of which appeared used or were not clearly marked as fresh. Both the microwave and dishwasher had visible grime, and the coffee machine still contained a used capsule from the previous guest. These issues suggest that the overall hygiene standards could be enhanced to ensure a more comfortable experience.

"This is a gem of a place to stay in London for a good price"
I was at first hesitant to book because of some of the bad reviews but I would take those with more than a grain of salt as this place was amazing and blew our expectations away. We were a family of three travelling to London for the first time and this made our experience enjoyable in a city where its hard to find a decent two bedroom and two bathroom (!!) place for a really good price and location. It was pretty easy to collect the keys from the lockbox as everything was well explained in advance through messages and in the guidebook. The front door is where you enter to get to the residence and the flat is the first door on the main floor. The overground St. Johns station is a five minute walk away and the bus stop is right across from the place. There are frequent trains and buses and it took us about 20-25 minute to get into central London via overground. There's a small Londis right across the street and there are multiple convenience/grocery stores down the road. When it comes to stocking up food items and essentials theres an Asda and a Tesco about fifteen minute walking distance from the residence. An honourable mention is this nice Sri Lankan restaurant Everest Curry King down the street which I recommend for a good meal when coming back early from the city. The flat was also really clean, there are enough pots and pans and utensils for cooking breakfast, and the instructions for heating were well laid out - only just took some time for the heating to kick in. Wifi quality was good and the TV has some good subscriptions app services which you can use your own login info to connect. The only thing I would recommend to add to the experience is to include all purpose cleaning sprays for the guests to use for wiping down the kitchen counters, laundry detergent for the washer, and a guidebook for how to use the laundry machine and stove as we were not used to the one provided.

"We had a fabulous stay. Thank you!"
I recommend this flat to anyone wanting to stay in London. It was clean, comfortable and had everything you need outside of your own home. Property is in walking distance to Lewisham Station and St, Johns Station where the train goes to London Bridge. Kitchen well stocked with pans and utensils. Location close to Lewisham shopping area.

"Great Location⁷"
Highly recommend this flat to anyone wanting to stay in Lewisham. It was clean, comfortable and had everything you need outside of your own home. The heating worked very well indeed! Would be lovely in the summertime also as it has a lovely outside area. Property is in walking distance to Lewisham Station where the train goes to London Bridge and Charing Cross. We had a fabulous stay. Thank you!
What could be improved: The sun shade (canopy) seemed to have a life of its own! One morning we woke to find it fully extended over the patio on a particularly windy day so we became rather concerned. We reported it but it retracted itself the following morning. Just a bit strange!

"It was ok"
Fairly spacious, location within public transport access but about 30-40 bus stops away from Londons best tourist attractions. Comfortable beds. Clean
What could be improved: Code given to access was incorrect and host was hard to reach. Not enough sitting spaces. Not enough towels, toilet paper, trash bags

"Great!"
Gorgeous flat! Location is well connected. Kitchen well stocked with pans and utensils so cooking was a breeze.
What could be improved: During our stay, unfortunately the freezer was not working, but 24/7 customer support was available and very responsive. Unfortunately, because if the full itinerary, we couldn’t get it sorted during the stay but it didn’t really affect our stay.

"Disappointed. They have hidden compulsory charges after the initial booking and not free parking"
The property itself was good
What could be improved: Additional compulsory charges of either 50 GBP non refundable or 500 GBP that the keep the 10 GBP and they refund the rest in 14 days. Also no parking even if says that they had. I asked the host and the host replied that there are free street parking or to book through an online parking app with additional charge. The street parking was available several minutes away. Disappointed.
