Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to New Soho Loft – Apt 3 by Indigo Flats on D’Arblay Street, you’d honestly never guess what’s waiting inside from the street view. The building blends right into the Soho streetscape, but once you’re through that door, it’s clear this four-star apartment takes the loft concept seriously. The exposed brick walls and industrial touches feel authentic rather than forced — like someone actually thought about how to make a converted space work for travelers.
Location Deep Dive
You’re basically in the heart of everything here in London‘s most vibrant neighborhood. I mean, step outside and you’re surrounded by those independent coffee shops that locals actually frequent, not just tourist traps. Oxford Street’s shopping madness is a two-minute walk when you need it, but honestly, the real charm is being tucked into Soho’s maze of streets where you’ll stumble across tiny pubs that have been serving pints since before your great-grandfather was born. The Tottenham Court Road tube station is close enough that getting anywhere else in the city is actually painless.
The Space Itself
The room — well, it’s more like a proper studio really — gives you that authentic London loft feeling without making you sleep on someone’s couch. The layout works surprisingly well, with enough space to spread out your stuff without tripping over your suitcase every five minutes. What caught my attention was how they’ve managed to create distinct areas within the space; there’s a proper sleeping area that feels separate from where you’d sit and plan your day. The kitchen setup is more functional than I expected — you can actually cook a decent breakfast if you want to save some pounds.
Modern Comforts
The Wi-Fi is solid (tested it during a video call back home), and the heating system actually works, which isn’t always a given in these older London buildings. They’ve clearly invested in decent mattresses and linens — not the scratchy stuff you sometimes get in apartment rentals. The bathroom feels modern without being sterile, though space is at a premium, as you’d expect in central London. Little touches like proper hangers and enough electrical outlets show someone was thinking about what travelers actually need.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this place nails the balance between authentic London character and practical comfort. You’re not staying in some generic hotel chain, but you’re also not roughing it in a dodgy conversion. The 8.2 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting genuine Soho living without the astronomical prices of luxury hotels in this area. It’s perfect for travelers who want to feel like temporary Londoners rather than obvious tourists — you’ll blend right into the neighborhood rhythm.

Incredible location, good place, not for people with accessibility issues.
What could be improved: We had a huge plumbing issue, but they offered a partial refund. Also would have loved to have some type of coffee machine.

Location, location, location!!!!!
Location was everything as I only had 2 days in central London and I did not want to take any trains or buses to get to Oxford street and the surrounding attractions, shops, restaurants etc.
The loft was clean and had adequate space as I didn't want to be confined to one hotel room with my daughter s. As with most of the older buildings in London, the staircase was narrow and there was no elevator. The staircase could use new carpet and a coat of new paint as it is the first thing that you see on entering the building. The bedrooms have been refurbished so they are quite nice and the linens are soft and comfortable. The kitchen had large cupboards and are stocked with cutlery, pots, pans, plates and cups. The L shaped couch can serve as another sleeping option. The bathroom was spacious but could use some updating with the tiles and the flooring. There were fans in each room which we were grateful for as it is summer.
The price was excellent.

Access to the property was seamless and the location could not have been better.
What could be improved: We were well aware that the unit had 3 flights of stairs and it was not an issue for us but they are narrow and could be challenging with a large bag.

Great location. Exactly as advertised. Comfortable for 3 adults.
What could be improved: Be aware that it’s on a noisy street (hence the great location), so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

The apartment was perfect. We were a group of 5 people and there was plenty of space in the apartment.
What we really appreciated was the location of the apartment, which is a 5 minute walk to Regent Street (a street with a lot of shops) , and a 2 minute walk to the tube station and the supermarket.

Great location and the flat was clean and comfortable.
What could be improved: Slight issue getting into the flat when we arrived, but I called the number and they were able to resolve this fairly quickly.

"This property is hard to beat location wise but I wouldn’t say it was luxurious accomodation. For this stay being 5 of u"
The location of this property is fantastic. Lots of cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk. There is also a Tesco Express and Coop within a 5 minutes walk. You are a few mins from Oxford Street and 5-10 mins to Leicester Square. The Northern Line tube is also within 10 minutes walk, which means Euston Station is within easy reach too.
What could be improved: The property is looking a little tired in parts, mainly the bathroom and when you shower everything has to go on the floor as no storage in there but on the whole the property was clean and sufficed us for our stay.
It is on the 3rd floor (which I knew prior to booking) but that is something to consider as the stairs are quite windy and narrow.

"Great location!"
Excellent location! Staff were amazing to deal with- so friendly and helpful. Very informative about needing to bring ear plugs as can be quite a noisy place (especially considering we were there during Pride) but the double glazing was great.
What could be improved: Could do with some blockout blinds in the main area with the sofa bed as very difficult to sleep during summer.
