Overview
First Impressions
When I first arrived at Modern Family Home in London Close to Amenities and Train, I’ll be honest — the name doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, but it tells you exactly what you’re getting. This four-star property sits on a quiet residential street in Earlsfield, and you know what? That’s actually perfect if you want to experience London like a local rather than feeling stuck in tourist central.
The Space
The apartment genuinely feels like stepping into someone’s well-curated home rather than a sterile hotel room. I mean, there’s proper artwork on the walls and books on the shelves that look like they’ve actually been read. The kitchen is fully equipped — I’m talking real appliances, not the tiny kettles and single burners you sometimes get in London rentals. I actually cooked dinner one night, which saved me a fortune compared to eating out every meal.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s where this place really shines — Earlsfield station is literally a seven-minute walk away, and honestly, that train connection changes everything. You’re in central London in about twenty minutes, but when you come back at night, you’re in this peaceful residential area where you can actually hear yourself think. The high street has a proper Tesco, a few decent cafes, and that lived-in neighborhood feel that makes you forget you’re in one of the world’s busiest cities.
Daily Life
What I loved most was having my own space to spread out after long days exploring. There’s something refreshing about making your morning coffee in your own temporary kitchen instead of queuing at hotel breakfast buffets. The WiFi actually works (crucial for catching up on emails), and there’s enough seating that you don’t feel cramped if you’re traveling with family or friends. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street, but that’s London for you — most guests probably won’t need a car anyway.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you the independence of having your own London home without the hassle of a long-term rental. The 8.3 rating makes sense when you experience how quiet the nights are compared to central London hotels, yet you’re never more than thirty minutes from anywhere you actually want to be. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it’s comfortable, practical, and genuinely relaxing — which, after a day of navigating London crowds, feels pretty much perfect.

"Cosy 3 bed in Earlsefield"
There were 5 of us, 2 couples and a single - so enough space for all.
Good location for what we needed
Close to Earsfield station
Some really good eateries on Garet Lane
Looks like a nice little outside space, although b we didn't use it
What could be improved: Nothing really. My only suggestion to host is to have.(in addition to the bathbtowels) a hand towel in the bathroom.

"Very good"
The beds are super comfortable! Plenty of extra blankets and pillows And the bedroom set up is perfect for a family: plenty of space. The heated floor in the bathroom and wall to wall carpeting elsewhere was nice for cold mornings. The decor was lovely but not over the top. The kitchen- wow! Fully stocked, big dining table, a dish washer, a washer/dryer, and even several choices of tea! They even provided some often forgotten items like umbrella, grocery bag, spare key, etc. The neighborhood was very quiet, easy to navigate, and a close walk to all the conveniences: train station, grocers, shops, churches, cafes, bus stops, parks, and even a library. Very family friendly overall.
What could be improved: There is only one bathroom, and the shower is open concept- not the best for kids to contain water. The temperature was too cold in the building and the water kettle had chunks of hard minerals stuck to it, BUT I alerted the company and they responded to take care of it right away. I don't recommend the master bed for taller than average people, but it was soooo comfy.

"Great flat in a great location - shame about the heating situation."
Perfect location, lovely big flat and very nicely furnished.
What could be improved: The heating situation - it was very chilly in the property and you can’t turn the heating up as it’s done remotely. My elderly mum had to sleep with 2 duvets and a jumper on!

"Overall it’s not a bad place to stay if you want to be close to the city."
It was about a 12 minute walk from the train station.
The place was spacious.
What could be improved: The heat is remotely controlled by the owners and the house was literally freezing at times.

"I would definitely come back again."
Transport - 10 minutes to National rail express. Everything was good. Nice house, place, rooms. Very good equipped kitchen. Amazing sleeping - really comfortable although I don´t like soft matrace, I enjoyed it! Realy amazing. And I have to say, we needed two times contact the host and he was fast. Helpful. Thank you so much!
What could be improved: Cold in the kitchen, probably because the door from garden. And it is pitty that windows were dirty. Accomodation is very nice but the windows spoil the good impression. It is only small think.
