Overview
First Impressions
The Modern apartment next to Hayes and Harlington station doesn’t try to be fancy, and honestly, that’s exactly what works about it. You’re literally steps from the train platform — I mean, you can practically roll your suitcase out the door and onto the next service to London. It’s a three-star setup that gets the basics right without any unnecessary frills.
Location & Getting Around
This spot in Hayes is one of those practical choices that makes total sense once you’re there. The Elizabeth Line runs straight through to central London in about 20 minutes, which means you can actually afford to stay somewhere decent instead of cramming into a shoebox in Zone 1. There’s a Tesco Express right around the corner, and the area has that suburban feel where you can grab what you need without fighting through tourist crowds.
The Space Itself
The apartment feels genuinely modern — not that fake-modern where everything’s just painted white. You’ve got a proper kitchen with full-sized appliances, which is honestly a game-changer when you’re staying more than a couple nights. The room layout actually makes sense, with enough space to spread out your stuff without tripping over your luggage every time you move around.
Practical Details
What I appreciated most was how everything just worked — the wifi’s solid, the shower has decent pressure, and the heating responds when you adjust it. There’s parking available if you’re driving, though honestly, with the train connections here, you probably won’t need your car much. The whole building feels well-maintained, not like some of those converted flats where you’re wondering if anything’s been updated since the 1980s.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to blow you away with stunning views or a rooftop bar, but it delivers on what actually matters when you’re traveling. You get proper space, reliable transport links, and everything you need to feel settled rather than just passing through. For the price point and location, it’s one of those places where you end up thinking “yeah, this works” — which, honestly, is exactly what you want from a base near London.

"Good location, poor guest experience"
The location & furnishing were good, comfortable beds & couches, adequate seating family of 4 to sit at a dining table.
The location was great for grabbing the tube into London & tesco being right down stairs is very convenient. The inclusion of a car park is great.
What could be improved: The check in process was terrible.
The hosts advice is to wait at the bottom of the building & wait for someone to exit so you can quickly run inside & head up to allow yourself in.
The hot water in the property does not function correctly & despite this being complained about before, it hasn’t been rectified.
There were only two towels & no toilet paper, despite the declaration that there were 4 guests. Including two children.

"Good flat, but needs owners attention to guest experience."
Comfortable with Clean Linen & Towels provided.
Cleaner was helpful.
What could be improved: Communication with owner difficult and lack of guest information regarding flat.
Very disappointingly no hot water as hot water system not operating properly, sink drain in en suite blocked and other plumbing deficiencies.

"convenient and confortable base for the area and London"
Great location for transport to central London and region & a short walk into town for food/ shops etc. The weather was very hot (30c+) and the portable aircon & fan helped alot (though because of building restrictions not optimally fitted, landlord had done the best they could) . Clean, comfy and priced for the area , and Parking was a bonus ( a little convoluted but excellent instructions from landlord: ask ahead of time)
What could be improved: The hot water is a little erratic, but with a few landlord provided tricks could function ( primarily in 1 bathroom) . Large front windows are lovely but full coverage would be helpful to block sun (when hot).
Be aware of the very restrictive stopping rules outside building : we ended up with surprise tickets when dropping off frail relatives before entering garage (again a building not landlord controlled issue ) .

"Central, clean, recommended for family vacation."
Very central. Grocery store under the building. Many delicious food restaurants within 5 months walk. Enjoyed our stay fully. Perfect for families. Free parking and very near to Heathrow Airport. The host had been very helpful throughout. Recommended.
