Overview
First Impressions
The Mayfair Maisonette Chic Spacious 2-Bed – 33A sits on a quiet residential street that honestly surprised me — you’d never guess you’re just minutes from Oxford Street’s chaos. This four-star property feels more like borrowing a well-heeled friend’s apartment than staying at a traditional hotel. The entrance is understated in that particularly British way, but once you’re inside, the space opens up beautifully.
The Space Itself
What strikes you immediately is how the two-bedroom layout actually works for travelers — I mean, most “spacious” places disappoint, but this one delivers. The main room has these lovely high ceilings and big windows that flood the place with natural light during the day. The kitchen is genuinely functional too, not just a token gesture with a mini-fridge and kettle — you could actually cook a proper meal if you wanted to stretch your dining budget.
Location in Mayfair
You know what’s brilliant about North Row? It’s properly residential, so you get a sense of how Londoners actually live, but you’re still walking distance to everything that matters. Selfridges is basically around the corner, and I found myself cutting through the backstreets to Bond Street regularly — it’s one of those routes that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something. The nearest tube is Marble Arch, which connects you to the Central line perfectly for getting across London.
Practical Considerations
The Wi-Fi actually works properly — I was working remotely part of my stay and had zero issues with video calls. There’s no parking on-site, but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway. The building itself is older, so expect some quirks like slightly temperamental water pressure, but that’s part of staying somewhere with character rather than a generic hotel chain.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you room to breathe in a city that can feel overwhelming. Having a proper living space means you can decompress properly after days of sightseeing or meetings — there’s something about having multiple rooms that just makes a trip feel less hectic. The 7.7 rating reflects exactly what you’d expect: it’s not perfect, but it offers something different from the usual London hotel experience, especially if you’re staying for more than a couple of nights.

"Very good"
The location of this apartment could not have been better. It was very central and easy to travel to. We came from Luton and used the green line bus which was only 10 minutes away.
The apartment was very comfortable, especially the beds. The sitting room downstairs was comfortable and spacious and there were plenty of towels available. Once the temperature of the shower was worked out, it was lovely (tip is to turn on the cold water and then turn on the hot just a tiny bit and wait for a minute to check the temperature otherwise it is extremely hot).
What could be improved: There are two sets of very steep stairs to get from the street to the first level and up to the bed rooms. We travelled with two young kids so the stairs posed a big safety risk for us. If there was a stair gate available it would have made the stay much more relaxing as we would have been able to let the kids walk around without someone following them at all times.
The glass table top isn't stuck down so be careful of leaning on one side of it as it tends to tip over which could cause an injury.
The pictures on the ad also look like they were taken after a fresh renovation but in actuality the apartment is well used now compared with the photos.

"Tiny apartment in a great but noisy location."
Excellent location..Plenty of beds. Responsive staff but only by text. Small general store on ground floor which is convenient. Very close to Bond Street station and Marble Arch. Right off Oxford Street. Convenient kitchen and laundry
What could be improved: Lots of small narrow steps to get from front door on ground floor to the 1st floor lounge. Bedrooms are on 2nd floor up another set of very narrow steps. Hard.hauling luggage up there. Beds were very hard. Windows are not blacked out enough and bring in a lot of sunlight. No air-conditioning on site till I asked staff to install portable AC. Somewhat claustrophobic, small windows. Staff.only texted, did not talk in person . Can accommodate multiple.people with multiple.beds but it only has one tiny bathroom.
There was crane activity and some construction sound outside as This is mainly a residential area right next to a commercial area.

"Fabulous location, and very spacious apartment."
Location was fabulous, opposite Selfridges. We came to shop and we were very impressed with not only the condition of the apartment, but how close to the shops we were. It was also incredibly quiet even being so cose to Oxford Street.

The place is spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. Perfectly situated in the heart of everything, so easy to get around. Really felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting London!

Just wrapped up a stay and it was absolutely brilliant. The location is top-notch right in Mayfair, so you’re close to all the best spots in London. The place itself is of high quality, spacious, and beautifully done up. The staff were incredibly responsive and made sure everything was spot on throughout our stay. If you’re after a stylish, comfy spot in a fantastic area, this is definitely the one to go for. Can’t recommend it enough!

"It was absolutely brilliant!"
I’ve got to say, it was absolutely brilliant. The two bedrooms are roomy and comfortable, perfect for kicking back after a day out and about. The whole place is beautifully done up, with a mix of modern luxury and classic charm that makes it feel really special. The location is spot on. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the little touches here and there made it feel like a home away from home. If you’re looking for somewhere stylish and central to stay in London, this place is definitely worth booking. Can’t recommend it enough!

"Pleasant"
The location , capacity of the apartment
What could be improved: In booking.com it says that it has 2 bathrooms but when I arrived it was only one, and when I try to contact with the owner he replied very late and they just apologize without compensatory me, over all it was good apartment but they need to work on customer service and check the details of the apartment
