Overview
First Impressions
Magic Moments – London Bridge – by Frankie Says caught me off guard — in the best way possible. You know what I wasn’t expecting? A four-star hotel in London that actually feels intimate rather than corporate. The entrance on this quiet Southwark street doesn’t scream “look at me,” but once you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about every detail.
The Southwark Experience
Here’s the thing about staying in Southwark — you’re literally a five-minute walk from London Bridge station, but it doesn’t feel touristy at all. I mean, Borough Market is practically around the corner, and honestly, that alone makes the location worth it. You can grab proper coffee and pastries in the morning without fighting crowds of camera-wielding tourists. The Shard looms overhead, sure, but you’re tucked away enough that you feel like you’ve discovered something locals know about.
The Room
My room was — well, it wasn’t huge, but they’ve made every square meter count. The bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and there’s this clever built-in desk area that doesn’t feel cramped. What I really appreciated were the blackout curtains — proper ones that actually block London’s streetlights. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, with a rainfall shower that has decent water pressure, which isn’t always a given in older London buildings.
Dining and Amenities
The ground-floor restaurant serves breakfast that’s actually worth getting up for — their full English is solid, but they also do these interesting twists on classic dishes that work surprisingly well. There’s no spa or fancy gym, but honestly, you’re in London — go walk along the Thames instead. What they do have is reliable WiFi and a 24-hour front desk staff who seem to genuinely know the neighborhood.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Magic Moments – London Bridge – by Frankie Says isn’t trying to be the Ritz, and that’s exactly why it works. It’s the kind of place where business travelers feel comfortable, but couples on weekend breaks don’t feel out of place either. The parking situation is typical London (read: expensive and limited), but you’re so well-connected by public transport that you probably won’t need a car anyway. At this price point in this location, with service that feels personal rather than scripted — it’s actually quite hard to find fault with the place.
Guest reviews
"Great location , lovely house , but for the money paid you need to spend a little on it to make it match the price !!!!"
Location was amazing
Beds comfortable
Veranda brilliant !!
What could be improved: For the money it costs ……..You can’t shower at the same time upstairs and downstairs !!!
The water shuts off in upstairs shower
Shower curtains need fixing and changing as stained and look bad
Towels need a refresh
Have a pint of milk in the fridge for tea and coffee
The upstairs bedroom has no light protection so it’s bright and breezy at 5.30am ! This should be made clear as blind fold was needed !!!

"Stunning apartment in a beautiful lively location surrounded by bars and Borough Market"
Thankyou.
The apartment was absolutely gorgeous and breathtakingly beautiful. I was blown away by the style and decor and facilities.
Fans were very helpful and welcome.
Incredible views of the Shard from the wonderful terrace- I could hardly believe it! but it was real!!
Water in fridge much appreciated. Fantastic value..
Sheets and towels immaculate and clean. So important.
House-was massive so kudos to the cleaner for a great job. 👍
I loved the French windows at the front. Loved the low bed style up in the loft tho I slept on sofa as it was too soft for my back.
The 2 bedrooms on the ground floor are stunningly decorated with high ceilings and open. They have bars on them so you can sleep with the windows open. Huge beds! They share a bathroom so you access the bathroom from each bedroom- so you would hear each other. also separate showeroom up in the loft.
Keys easy to pick up from the door lock box. a Few minutes walk from London Bridge station.
Thankyou for the privilege of staying bin such a unique space . Great style of comments by Frankie too. Love it
What could be improved: A few suggestions for improvement
It's a lively location so if you don't like noisy there is only one quiet bedroom.
English team bags would be nice and some little long life milk cartons for a cup of tea cos it is a quitessentially British place.
A curtain on the big back window in the loft for hot days to blackout sun and keep it cool?
It was a bit smelly downstairs when I came in ...musty, damp smell, which was a bit off putting initially, but after having the window open a few hours, the smell had gone, so maybe air the apartment more downstairs or install a self operating manual fan in that back bedroom?
Cos of the musty smell I slept upstairs... tho back bedroom was the quiet one. and so it was quite noisy till 1am.. as youre right in the centre of the bars- - so o maybe provide complementary ear plugs if anyone needs them?
the back bedroom on the ground floor is isolated from any noise however-
Some minor issues, the windowlatches in the lounge front windows were broken. This wasn't a problem for me but may be good to fix for security purposes.
The upstairs loo may need attention as it looked like it could block so I used downstairs one mainly..
All the showers are rain showers and no hand piece -so a shower cap would be nice for anyone who doesn't want to get their hair wet .
Also the rain showers are very high and hard to wash under..a moveable shower would be better.
One of the shelves in the loft seems to need a repair...minor but did stand out in perfection... also a bedside table and tiny lamp would be useful.
The latch on the window in the lounge is broken and needs repair- but not an issue as it's high up- so no one can get in I don't think. Also wooden french windows are a good security measure.
Getting a receipt was a challenge- I couldn't get a VAT one but my company accepted the invoice luckily.

"Excellent property. Spacious, stylish and perfect London location beside buzzy Borough market."
Top class stay. Perfect location right beside Borough market and excellent transport links for Underground, London Bridge etc. Very spacious, clean and stylish!
What could be improved: No wardrobe space/drawers on top floor. Some construction work ongoing at back on last day but looks almost finished.

"Incredible location and perfect for a family or group stay in London"
The location is brilliant. A couple of minutes walk from London Bridge station and about 50 yards from the entrance to Borough Market. Inside has been very well decorated and furnished, very impressed. The rooms were all well-sized with a very big kitchen & living room.
I went with my wife and children who all really liked it, would be great for any group.
What could be improved: The en-suite shower on the top floor was clogged. Otherwise was very impressed and had a great time. For London it represents great value for money.

"For a group overnight stay this was a fun, eclectic styled accommodation in the heart of London."
Central to the buzz of Borough Market. Iconic landmarks out the window. Great roof terrace overlooking The Shard
What could be improved: Nitpicking here- shame there was a shower curtain and not a screen
