Walking into Luxury river side penthouse in Greenwich, you immediately get why they went with that name — it’s not subtle, but honestly, it doesn’t need to be. This four-star property sits right along the Thames, and when you’re up in one of these penthouses, the views actually live up to the billing. I mean, you can see the river bend toward Canary Wharf from most windows, which is pretty spectacular especially when the light hits just right in the evening.
Location & Greenwich Charm
The thing about staying in Greenwich is that you’re far enough from central London to breathe a bit, but close enough that the DLR gets you into the city center in about twenty minutes. Duke of Wellington Avenue is this quiet residential street that most tourists never stumble onto, but it’s actually perfect — you’ve got the Maritime Museum and the Royal Observatory within walking distance. The Cutty Sark is literally a five-minute stroll, and there’s something quite nice about having these iconic spots as your neighborhood landmarks rather than fighting crowds to see them.
The Space Itself
What struck me about the room setup here is how they’ve managed to make these penthouses feel like actual homes rather than hotel suites. The living areas are genuinely spacious — not that fake “spacious” you get in most London accommodations — and the kitchen is fully kitted out if you want to grab groceries from the Greenwich Market. The bedrooms face the river, so you wake up to water views, which never gets old even after a few days.
River Views & Practical Details
Look, the Thames isn’t exactly the Mediterranean, but there’s something oddly soothing about watching the river traffic from your window while having morning coffee. The boats, the occasional river bus, the joggers along the Thames Path — it’s like having a constantly changing view. Parking is included, which is a massive bonus if you’re driving in London (and honestly, quite rare). The building itself is modern without being flashy, and the staff seem to actually know the area well enough to give decent recommendations.

This place works because it gives you that “living like a local” feeling without sacrificing comfort or convenience. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting penthouse-level space and views at four-star prices, in a part of London that’s genuinely interesting rather than just touristy. Plus, Greenwich has this village-y feel that’s quite refreshing after the intensity of central London — you can actually have a quiet dinner at one of the riverside pubs without feeling like you’re in a theme park.

There was no breakfast as part of the deal but there was a local street market very close where we had a great breakfast.

"Very good, could have been great…"
It’s beautiful and very well organized. Daniel always available to assist through messages. Which helps a lot and very flexible.
What could be improved: The information are not well kept, I was surprised to learn that I have to take the rubbish out but it’s not clear where to go and dumb them. Someone walked in and asked me to do that. You are expected to take your rubbish out, despite charged for cleaning which I find very strange. Even asked me to make sure I put the plates and cups into dishwasher.

"Excellent location. Great facilities at the unit."
Once door code was received access was easy. Property well located re public transport options. Location of unit is in a new, developing part of Woolwich. Felt safe at all times. Property as described in Booking. com
What could be improved: Payment process. This should have been facilitated through Booking.com within the days prior to arrival at the unit not as an Invoice as we were travelling in a taxi cab to the unit. All other bookings via Booking.com have this arrangement or have a reception desk to facilitate payment. Security deposit not noted in cost at the time of booking. Refund of this needed to be requested.
Communication tone , at times, re expectations of us, prior and during stay, with agent, felt a bit imposing.

"We really enjoyed our stay here - it was great to have a comfortable space to come back to at the end of the day!"
Our stay here was lovely! The apartment is very nice, and we really enjoyed the streaming services and convenience of nearby grocery and underground stops. The weather was lovely, so we were able to leave the windows open to keep the temperature moderated. The beds were comfortable and there were a few different types of pillows which we appreciated. There was laundry soap and dish soap, and little starter bags of toiletries in the bathrooms.
What could be improved: The dryer doesn’t really dry, so it would’ve been nice to have a drying rack. There’s also very few dishes in the kitchen. The listing description also needs to be updated - part of it seems to be copied from another listing, as it says there’s a front desk, a bidet, and a sea view which is not true of this apartment.

Loved the comfortable beds/sofa and view of the area, also very friendly people!
What could be improved: The only thing for us was that tube rides were at least an hour every day, the whole penthouse was amazing we loved it!
