First Impressions
Honestly, when I first booked Luxury King Room Chiswick West London, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from what’s essentially a boutique apartment setup in residential Chiswick. But stepping into this four-star space on Essex Place immediately put those doubts to rest — it’s got this polished, contemporary feel that somehow manages to be both sophisticated and genuinely comfortable.
The Space Itself
The room is spacious in that satisfying London way where you actually have space to unpack properly. What I really appreciated was the thoughtful layout — there’s a proper seating area that doesn’t feel like an afterthought, and the king bed dominates the space without making everything else feel cramped. The kitchen setup is surprisingly well-equipped too, which came in handy more than I expected during my stay.
Chiswick Charm
You know what’s great about this location? It’s properly residential London without being boring. Chiswick has this village-y feel that’s hard to find in Zone 2 — there’s a Waitrose literally around the corner, plus some genuinely good pubs within walking distance. The Turnham Green tube station is about a 10-minute walk, and honestly, that slight distance from the station hustle makes the whole area feel more peaceful.
Practical Touches
The parking situation is actually sorted here, which anyone who’s tried to drive in London will appreciate. I mean, street parking in this part of town can be a nightmare, so having that taken care of removes one major headache. The WiFi is solid — I had a few work calls that went smoothly — and there’s decent natural light throughout the day, which makes a real difference when you’re spending time indoors.
Why Guests Love It
What sets this place apart is that 8.9 rating, and I get why it scores so well. It’s the kind of place that delivers on the practical stuff without feeling clinical or impersonal. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like an actual home base rather than just a place to crash between tourist activities — and in Chiswick, you’re close enough to central London when you need to be, but far enough out to feel like you’re experiencing how Londoners actually live.

"Very good choice and would go back"
The host is extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. The location close to the Piccadilly line is convenient. The high street also has all the amenities you could need.
What could be improved: There was only 1 bedside table, 2 would have been better as we both have phones etc.
The mattress was soft which was great for me but not for my husband.

"Loved it. Totally recommend it!"
Everything was perfect. Julianna is the perfect host. We had a late flight and she was so kind to walk me through the airport - property process with tubes, busses, till we made it safe.
Breakfast 10/10. So good, tasty and well made.
What could be improved: There's nothing i can add here. Everything was perfect and smooth.

"Great stay at great place hosted by a great person"
Juliana is a great host! Made me feel at home and taken great care of. She was OK with my late check-in, breakfasts she offered were fantastic. The room has all you need, especially good was having a bath after a long day in the city, towels are changed daily. I had a blast staying with Jualine and her lovely cats.

We had a wonderful stay! Juliana was very discreet and friendly, always making sure we felt comfortable. The place was spotless, with a lovely view and located in a quiet, beautiful area. At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out even better than we imagined! We’d definitely stay here again. 🌸

"Home from home"
As a weekly business traveller my stay at Amara & Nomad 1 stands out from the norm and is worthy of me taking the time to provide a special review, The accommodation is perfectly located to access a great variety of excellent restaurants along the Chiswick High Road. The double bed was comfortable, as expected, but it is the quality of the sheets and pillows that make the real difference - so many places get this bit wrong! The en-suite is well fitted and everywhere is meticulously clean. Again, it is the attention to detail that stands out.
The property is hosted by Luliana who manages to make you feel at home whilst providing you with your own privacy and each morning I was spoilt with a freshly cooked breakfast together with fine Italian coffee that easily beat anything served in a hotel.
What could be improved: Nothing negative from me but if you're allergic to cats this may not be the place for you as there are 5 beautiful cats also calling this their home. Keep your door closed and there is no problem.

"Great place"
Clean, comfortable and a great location. Nice area and only a short walk to the tube. Amara is a wonderful host. Friendly, helpful and cooks a superb breakfast. Highly recommended!
