Lovely Flat in Camden caught my attention right away — and honestly, it’s one of those places where the name actually matches what you get. Tucked away on Royal College Street, this apartment feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed place than your typical hotel experience. The building itself has that classic London charm without being stuffy about it.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s great about this spot? You’re genuinely in Camden, not some sanitized tourist version of it. Royal College Street puts you close enough to Camden Market that you can wander over for lunch, but far enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling home at 3 AM. The Tube stations are all walkable — I mean, this is London, so everything’s walkable if you don’t mind a bit of exercise.
The Space Itself
This four-star setup really delivers on comfort without trying too hard to impress. The room layout feels thoughtful — someone actually considered how people live, not just where they sleep. There’s proper space to spread out your stuff (travelers know how rare that is), and the kitchen area is actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the local shops instead of eating out every meal.
What Actually Works
The little details here make the difference. Good water pressure in the shower — seriously, this matters more than people admit. The WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and there’s enough natural light that you don’t feel like you’re living in a cave. Parking in this part of London can be a nightmare, but they’ve sorted that out if you’re driving (though honestly, you probably shouldn’t be).
Why Guests Love It
Look, an 8.5 rating doesn’t happen by accident. This place works because it doesn’t try to be something it’s not — it’s a proper London flat that happens to welcome travelers. You get the neighborhood experience without sacrificing comfort, and that’s actually harder to find than you’d think. Camden’s got personality, and staying here means you get to experience some of that rather than just observing it from a tour bus window.

"A lovely getaway from the London buzz"
The apartment is exactly as presented in the photos. Fully equipped, spacious and quite clean. Perfectly located in a quiet area not too far from restaurants and shops. The overground and underground stations are right at hand. The perfect headquarters for families looking forward to enjoying London and its precious landmarks.
What could be improved: Nothing to mention. Just a few more amenities to add, such as cleaning tools and night lamps.

"Great apartment, needs the smaller details looked at to match the price expected."
Great apartment, was enabled early access as had meetings which really helped!
What could be improved: Freezer door was unattached and completely frozen so unable to use.
The flooring between rooms was taped down with brown tape, not nice to look at and also easy to trip over.
A few areas just needed some attention to clean up - and maybe a couple of spare blankets in the wardrobe would be good as the duvet was thin!

"Geräumige und ruhige Wohnung mitten in Camden."
Die Wohnung ist sehr gut gelegen, mitten in Camden und dennoch in einer ruhigen Ecke. Sie ist sehr geräumig, gut ausgestattet und hat einen gemütlichen Innenhof (z. T. sogar überdacht). Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich. Der Supermarkt im Erdgeschoss hat alles (wirklich alles!), was man braucht.

l'emplacement au top. au calme mais a camden.
la rue peut paraître pas très accueillante. mais le quartier est super en vrai. une boulangerie et un supermarché a côté. le métro a 5 minutes a pied.
l'appartement est propre et fonctionnel.
lit confortable quartier calme. manque peut être des volets mais nous sommes des lèves tot cela n'est pas très dérangeant.
l'hôte est super gentil.
What could be improved: prise anglaise. il a fallu acheter des plugs à la supérette au dessus pour pouvoir brancher nos téléphones tablettes etc...

"Séjour très sympa, nous avons bien dormi dans le quartier que nous recherchions."
L'emplacement. Les lits étaient confortables (5 couchages confortables.). La petite terrasse et la télé appréciable. L'appartement était propre et bien aménagé. La récupération et le dépôt des clés était très pratique.
What could be improved: L'entretien de la hotte et de la bouilloire.

"Very good"
Super emplacement pour prendre le bus et se ravitailler. Aucun bruit de la ville. Appartement spacieux. Rapport qualité prix imbattable.
What could be improved: Le matelas du canapé manquait un peu d'épaisseur et un store occultant à la fenêtre de toit aurait été un plus.
