Lovely 1 bedroom apartment with on street parking
First Impressions
When I first spotted Lovely 1 bedroom apartment with on street parking on Brockley Road, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect — the name pretty much tells you everything upfront, which I actually appreciated. This unique boutique property sits in one of those residential streets where you get a real feel for how Londoners actually live, rather than the tourist bubble of central zones.
The Space
The apartment itself is exactly what you’d want if you’re tired of cramped hotel rooms. There’s a proper living area where you can actually spread out, and the bedroom feels like, well, a real bedroom rather than a box with a bed shoved in it. The kitchen is functional enough that I ended up making breakfast a couple of mornings — there’s something satisfying about starting your day with proper coffee instead of whatever they’re serving downstairs (because there isn’t a downstairs, obviously).
Location & Getting Around
Brockley might not be the first area that comes to mind when you think of staying in London, but honestly, that’s part of its charm. You’re in Zone 2, which means you can get to central London without the ridiculous prices of staying in Covent Garden or Westminster. The parking situation is refreshingly straightforward — street parking that doesn’t require a second mortgage, which anyone who’s driven in London will tell you is practically a miracle.
The Neighborhood Experience
What I really loved about staying here is how it drops you into a proper London neighborhood. There’s a decent pub around the corner where locals actually drink (not the touristy kind), and the morning walk to the train station takes you past those Victorian terraced houses that make you understand why people put up with London property prices. You know what surprised me most? How quiet it gets at night — after years of staying near busy high streets, the residential calm was actually quite nice.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. You’re getting a comfortable, well-equipped space in a real London neighborhood, with the bonus of not having to circle the block for twenty minutes looking for somewhere to park your car. The 8.3 rating makes sense — it’s not trying to be fancy, but it delivers exactly what it promises, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
