Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the London Marriott Hotel Kensington, you get that immediate sense of polished professionalism that comes with a well-established four-star chain hotel. The lobby feels crisp and modern — not cutting-edge trendy, but definitely refreshed and welcoming. Staff move with purpose, and there’s this reassuring hum of efficiency that makes you think they’ve got everything sorted.
Perfect Kensington Positioning
Honestly, the location on Cromwell Road is pretty brilliant for exploring London. You’re literally a five-minute walk from both the Natural History Museum and the V&A — I mean, you could practically roll out of bed and be standing in front of dinosaur skeletons. South Kensington tube station is right there too, so getting anywhere else in the city is straightforward. The area feels properly London-ish without being touristy in that overwhelming Leicester Square way.
The Room Experience
My room was what you’d expect from Marriott — thoughtfully designed, comfortable bed, decent workspace if you need to get things done. The bathroom was spotless, and I actually appreciated the little touches like proper coffee-making facilities. Views vary depending on which side you’re on, but even the Cromwell Road side isn’t too noisy once you close the windows. The air conditioning works well, which matters more than you’d think during those surprisingly warm London summers.
Dining and Amenities
The ground-floor restaurant serves solid international cuisine — nothing that’ll blow your mind, but reliable and well-prepared. Breakfast is the usual hotel spread, though they do a proper full English if that’s your thing. There’s a fitness center that’s compact but has everything you need, and the business facilities are genuinely useful if you’re traveling for work. The lobby area works well for informal meetings or just settling in with a coffee.
Why Guests Love It
What really works here is the combination of reliability and location. You know exactly what you’re getting — professional service, clean comfortable accommodations, and that trademark Marriott consistency. For families, being so close to the museums is brilliant, and business travelers appreciate the solid Wi-Fi and work-friendly spaces. It’s not the most characterful hotel in London, but sometimes you just want a place that delivers on all the basics while putting you right in the heart of one of the city’s best neighborhoods.

"Clean tidy good service. Would definitely return"
Location was great , easy to get in and out of London. Parking was good. The Executive lounge was good.
What could be improved: Rooms were a tad small. I would’ve expected an Executive room to be a bit bigger.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The property is clean, the location is excellent, quiet, and conveniently close to major attractions and train stations. I would like to express my appreciation to Ms. Bruna for her outstanding service and professionalism throughout my stay.

"Enjoyed 7 night stay. Perfect location with small children."
Large room for London standard with 2 queen size beds. Convenient location with two underground stations and bus stations nearby. Museums are 20 minutes away by foot or 10 minutes bus ride.
What could be improved: The room is a bit dark.

I want to mention one of the best hotelier Mr Ashraf
The front office manager, he is a good team leader, he has strong interpersonal and communication skills.furthermore, he is excellent in problem-solving and decision-making. He is a real a pricless gem and a real Marriott ambassador. Thanks Ashraf
What could be improved: The size of the room is tiny.
Housekeeping in phone service is slow and unprofessional, When we stay in the deluxe room, there was no coffee machine in the room even it was mentioned in booking there is coffee machine when I talked to the front office they told me that they will tell the house keeping to bring me one , two days later I didn't get any response and when I called them they ignore my order ...but when we upgrade the room we find a coffee machine , furthermore, they didn't refill the tea corner equally, we have 2 rooms they gave one room hot chocolate while the other not for many times. also the shower gel in one room was filled by water while the other room was filled by real gel.
Moreover,
the room service takes 5 pounds for delivery service, it's my first time to see this in Marriott, it's not delivero, it's a room service in same hotel..
Overall, the price is very high compared to the value we get, maybe because it's London, but I could pay same price in another Marriott hotel around the world and get better experience.
