London loft by let it b travel
First Impressions
When I first walked up to London loft by let it b travel, tucked away on Ford Close in Tower Hamlets, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The building itself has this converted warehouse feel that immediately tells you you’re somewhere with character — not your typical hotel setup, which honestly was refreshing after countless cookie-cutter places.
The Space
This four-star property feels more like staying in a friend’s really well-designed apartment than a traditional hotel. The loft-style layout gives you actual breathing room, and I mean that literally — the ceilings are properly high, not those cramped spaces you sometimes get in London conversions. The industrial touches work really well here, with exposed brick and metal fixtures that don’t feel forced or trendy.
What struck me most was how functional everything felt. The kitchen area isn’t just for show — you can actually cook a proper meal if you want to, which is brilliant when you’re staying for more than a night or two. The whole setup makes you feel less like a tourist passing through and more like a temporary local.
Location & Getting Around
Tower Hamlets might not sound glamorous, but honestly, this area has really come into its own. You’re close enough to Canary Wharf that the transport links are solid, but far enough away that you’re not paying those ridiculous central London prices for everything. The Tube connections work well for getting into the heart of things, though I’d recommend getting familiar with the bus routes too — they’re often quicker for shorter hops.
There’s something quite nice about being in a residential area where actual Londoners live and work. The local shops and cafés feel genuine, not like they’re performing for tourists. Plus, parking is actually manageable here if you’re driving, which is basically a miracle in this city.
The Details That Matter
The team at let it b travel clearly knows what they’re doing — check-in was straightforward, and they actually seemed to care about whether you had what you needed. No pretentious nonsense, just practical help when you need it. The WiFi works properly (I tested it extensively), and the heating responds when you adjust it, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong.
I appreciated that they didn’t try to oversell the experience. It’s comfortable, well-maintained, and does exactly what it promises without the marketing fluff. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ve ever stayed, but it hits that sweet spot of being properly comfortable while feeling authentic to London living. The loft concept works because it gives you space to actually settle in, whether you’re here for business around Canary Wharf or exploring the city more generally. Plus, the value makes sense — you’re getting more space and character than you’d find in a standard hotel room for similar money in more touristy areas.
