London Hammersmith – hot tub, cinema & gaming room
First Impressions
When I first walked up to London Hammersmith – hot tub, cinema & gaming room on Parfrey Street, I’ll be honest — it doesn’t look like much from the outside. But that’s kind of the point with this place. It’s tucked away in a quiet residential street in Hammersmith, and once you step inside, you realize this four-star property is basically someone’s dream home that happens to take guests. The whole vibe is more “staying at a really cool friend’s place” than traditional hotel.
Location & Getting Around
Hammersmith gets overlooked by a lot of visitors, but honestly, it’s one of the better spots to base yourself. You’re about 20 minutes from central London on the tube, but without the tourist crowds and inflated prices. There’s a proper local feel here — I grabbed coffee from a tiny place around the corner that clearly knew all the regulars by name. The Hammersmith Broadway shopping center is a short walk if you need anything, and the river’s close enough for evening strolls along the Thames Path.
The Unique Amenities
Here’s where this place gets interesting. The cinema room isn’t some tiny TV setup — we’re talking proper reclining seats and a massive screen that made me forget I wasn’t in an actual theater. The gaming room has everything from retro arcade machines to the latest consoles, which was perfect for a rainy afternoon. But the real winner? That hot tub. It’s positioned so you can actually see a bit of London’s skyline while you soak, and after walking around the city all day, it felt absolutely perfect.
The Space Itself
The whole setup feels more like a high-end apartment than a hotel. The kitchen is fully equipped — not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation, but proper appliances and counter space. I ended up cooking breakfast a couple of mornings because the local market had amazing fresh ingredients, and it felt natural to use the space that way. The bedrooms are comfortable without being fancy, and there’s actually enough storage space for longer stays.
Why Guests Love It
Look, if you want daily housekeeping and a concierge, this isn’t your place. But if you want to feel like you’re living in London rather than just visiting, it’s brilliant. The entertainment options mean you could easily spend an entire evening in without feeling like you’re missing out on the city. I met other guests in the common areas — something that rarely happens in traditional hotels — and everyone seemed to be having the same reaction: surprised by how much they enjoyed the whole experience. For groups or longer stays especially, this place just works in a way that makes you want to come back.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
