Overview
First Impressions
London comfy studio – Close to Camden sits on a quiet residential street in Islington that honestly feels more like a local neighborhood than tourist territory. The building itself is typical North London Victorian — red brick, sash windows, the kind of place where you’d expect to find actual Londoners living rather than just passing through. I mean, that’s exactly what makes this three-star spot work so well.
The Space
The studio room is compact but thoughtfully arranged — you know how some small London places feel cramped? This one doesn’t. There’s a proper sleeping area that doesn’t feel like an afterthought, and the kitchenette is actually functional rather than decorative. The decor is clean and modern without trying too hard, which I appreciate. You’ve got everything you need for a few nights, plus enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re genuinely close to Camden (about a 15-minute walk), but you’re staying somewhere that feels residential and calm. Fairbridge Road isn’t touristy at all, which means you can grab groceries at the local shops without paying tourist prices. The nearest tube is Archway or Tufnell Park, both walkable, and honestly the bus connections are solid if you don’t fancy the underground.
Local Flavor
The area around here has that authentic North London vibe — think independent cafes, proper pubs where locals actually drink, and tree-lined streets where you can imagine people walking their dogs every morning. You’re close enough to Camden’s chaos when you want it, but you can retreat to this quieter pocket when you’ve had enough of the crowds. There’s a good mix of places to eat within walking distance, from Turkish restaurants to traditional gastropubs.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about this place is the balance — you get the independence of having your own space with a kitchen, but you’re not stuck in some sterile serviced apartment complex. The neighborhood feels real, the studio gives you room to breathe, and you’re well-connected to central London without paying Zone 1 prices. It’s the kind of place that works whether you’re here for a few days of sightseeing or need somewhere comfortable for a longer stay.
To book a hotel in London during opera season, visitors plan ahead to balance Royal Opera House nights with quiet Regent’s Canal strolls.
Guest reviews
"Fernando communicated so well with us throughout our stay. The place was nice and clean and had a lovely fragrance smell"
I loved the space of the bedroom and kitchen area. There’s a good breakfast spot by the window as well.
What could be improved: The bed could’ve been a little more comfortable and the shower could’ve been bigger, as it is quite a small space.

"Great stay, would recommend!"
The location was great. The keys were easy to collect, and the room had a kitchenette and cooking utensils, a TV, towels, and comfortable pillows. The room had ample privacy and was easily accessible.
What could be improved: The bathroom had a leak in the ceiling which was dripping.

"Superb"
It is entirely new, and this is very good. Didn't find a lot of such objects in that area — good price/quality ratio. The host, Fernando, is amiable and very helpful with my requests.
What could be improved: The shower might be bigger)) But this is biased)

Location, price, ease of access.

"Cosy place, value for money."
Great , helpful , friendly host. Cosy little place with everything you need ( do bring your own hairdryer though if use one ). Capsule coffee maker was a nice addition. Quite close to local transport. Fantastic burger place and Bella Italia with the cheapest delicious pizza near by.
What could be improved: Slightly small, but not a problem.

"Best for budgeting travellers"
The location was fabulous! Close to 2 tube stations with loads of grocery and food options. Complete value for money if you're on a budget.
What could be improved: The space is smaller than you might expect, two people can manage within the space.

"Poor indoor air quality, inadequate ventilation, and unpleasant odors – would not stay again."
Location.
What could be improved: Although the compact size of the studio was not an issue since we were aware of it beforehand, I regret to say that I would not choose to stay here again. There is a crack in the ceiling, and it appears there might be some moisture-related damage since the indoor air quality is very poor; nothing dries, and the air remains quite stuffy even though we kept the window open. While there is a kitchen, we only cooked once because the entire room filled with smoke and steam due to poor ventilation, suggesting the kitchen isn't really designed for actual cooking.
I personally experienced discomfort from the poor indoor air quality.
Additionally, there was a strong smell of cannabis in the hallway at times, and we are non-smokers.
The studio is on the ground floor, so you can hear all the comings and goings of other residents quite clearly, with doors slamming frequently.
