London Bridge Escape – 2 Bed 2 Bath near landmarks
First Impressions
You know what hits you first about London Bridge Escape – 2 Bed 2 Bath near landmarks? It’s tucked away on this quiet cobbled mews in Southwark that feels like a secret — Bell Yard Mews is one of those addresses that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. The building itself has that classic London charm, but honestly, it’s the tranquility that surprised me most given how close you are to everything.
Location & Getting Around
I mean, the location is pretty brilliant if you ask me. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from London Bridge station, which connects you to basically everywhere — the Jubilee line gets you to Westminster in about six minutes, and the Northern line shoots you up to King’s Cross in ten. What I really loved though was being able to walk to Borough Market for weekend breakfast, then stroll along the Thames Path to Tower Bridge without dealing with the Tube at all.
The Space Itself
This four-star setup actually feels more like staying in a friend’s really nice flat than a typical hotel room. The two bedrooms are properly sized — not those cramped London afterthoughts you sometimes get — and having two full bathrooms is a game-changer when you’re traveling with friends or family. The main living area has this lovely natural light that pours in during the day, and there’s a proper kitchen where you can actually cook if you want to save some money or just fancy making coffee the way you like it.
What Makes It Special
Here’s the thing — you get that authentic London residential feel while being steps away from major landmarks. I walked to Shakespeare’s Globe one evening, crossed the Millennium Bridge to St. Paul’s the next morning, and still felt like I was coming home to a proper neighborhood rather than some tourist bubble. The Shard literally looms over the area, but somehow Bell Yard Mews stays peaceful and residential. Plus, you’ve got some fantastic pubs within a stone’s throw — The George Inn is this gorgeous old coaching inn that’s been serving pints since the 1600s.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.3 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s the space and freedom you get compared to cramped hotel rooms, combined with a location that actually lets you live like a Londoner for a few days. You can pop out for fresh bread and cheese from Borough Market, come back and have breakfast at your own pace, then walk to the Tate Modern or catch a show at the National Theatre — all without feeling rushed or restricted by hotel schedules. The neighborhood genuinely feels safe and welcoming, which isn’t always a given in London, and you’ll find yourself taking the long way home just to soak up the atmosphere around those historic streets.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
