First Impressions

King’s Cross Apartments sits right on the main road — and honestly, that’s not necessarily a bad thing when you’re in London. The building itself is pretty standard Victorian conversion stuff, but what caught my attention was how well they’ve managed to balance that old London character with actually functional living spaces. It’s a three-star setup, so don’t expect marble lobbies or anything fancy, but there’s something refreshingly straightforward about the whole operation.

The Neighborhood Reality

King’s Cross Road is busy — I mean, properly busy with traffic and people heading to the station. But here’s the thing: you’re literally walking distance from King’s Cross St. Pancras, which makes getting anywhere in London ridiculously easy. The Eurostar terminal is right there too, so if you’re doing that whole Europe trip thing, it’s actually brilliant. Camden’s just down the road, and you know what? The grittiness of the area has this authentic London feel that touristy zones just don’t have.

The Apartment Setup

The apartment I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully laid out — they’ve really maximized the space without making it feel cramped. The kitchen is small but has everything you actually need: proper fridge, decent hob, microwave. I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because honestly, London breakfast prices are mental, and having that option saved me quite a bit. The room was quiet enough considering we’re on a main road — double glazing does its job.

Practical Stuff That Matters

The Wi-Fi actually works properly, which you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case in London. Heating was reliable during my stay in March, and the shower had decent pressure — small victories, but they matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. There’s no concierge service or daily housekeeping, but they give you fresh towels when you ask, and the building feels secure enough.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t going to win any design awards, but it does exactly what it says on the tin. You get your own space, you can cook your own meals, and you’re connected to the rest of London in minutes. The 7.1 rating makes sense — it’s solid without being spectacular. For the price point in this part of London, especially with the transport links, it’s actually pretty decent value. Just don’t expect room service or a fancy lobby — but if you want independence and easy access to everywhere else, King’s Cross Apartments delivers on that front.

"A great place to stay for a few nights despite some issues."
Property was not to far from the train station- a short walk- and has some shops nearby. Room well equipped especially the coffee (love the capsules). The property was willing to accommodate us to leave our luggages in our room after checking out which was very great.
What could be improved: The street that the property is on can be a bit noisy (some shouting & talking). The key box was placed very high, needed a leverage to reached it. The stairs was a bit narrow.

"King's Cross closeness"
I really like self checkin, I was allowed enter room early as the room was available. Good location and only one flight of stairs. Windows on both sides allowed air to flow across the apartment.
What could be improved: This apartment is on a very busy street that could be noisy at certain times on day.

What could be improved: A slight omission - there was no tea towel. Owner has promised to rectify for future visitors.

What could be improved: Floor fan without blade cover is DANGEROUS, having to reach down/through shower flow to adjust was a bit risky, TV with no aerial connection was useless, curtain does not keep out enough light (used a black plastic sheet to help this)

Great size. Washing machine. Lovely hot water once you work out how the boiler works. Great location. Plenty of plug sockets and extension leads. Fab coffee machine
What could be improved: The entrance hall is awful. Not sure if works are being done?! The finish in the flat is nothing like the pictures show. Floors all need redone. Old chip wood wallpaper in the bedroom. Bath is scratched and felt dirtier getting out than getting in. No laundry tabs for the washing machine. No dish cloth to dry dishes. Crockery had definitely not been washed properly.

Perfect location. 5 min away from metro and train station by walking. You can find almost everything near the apartment.
What could be improved: The only bad thing about the apartment was bed. İt was extremely soft and hard to stay away from the middle of the bed.

I really liked the location of the property, the facilities, the comfortable bed, and the fact that it had Wi-Fi and access to YouTube.
What could be improved: I didn’t like that the floor was dirty and worn out, and there was dust in the hallway due to refurbishments in other apartments. There was also an unpleasant smell coming from the sink and the washing machine.

"Great location with few improvements can made"
It’s bigger then any other apartment with this price one London
What could be improved: I basically heard the upper level ppl when and where they in the room. And it’s too close too street level all buses and cars u clearly hear. Suggested to put on ear plugs. And it’s actually a bit dated room on flooring and wall which in acceptable level. But the cutlery and kettle were dirty.
