Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Kensington 1bd apt seconds from Museums on Queen’s Gate, you immediately get that “I’m staying somewhere special” feeling. This four-star apartment sits on one of those gorgeous white-stucco Victorian streets that make London postcards — you know, the kind where you actually want to take photos. The building itself has that classic Kensington elegance without being stuffy about it.
The Space
Inside, you’re looking at a proper one-bedroom setup that feels more like borrowing a friend’s really nice place than staying in typical tourist accommodation. The kitchen is actually functional — I mean, you could make a real dinner here if you wanted to, not just reheat leftovers. The living area flows naturally into everything else, and there’s enough space that you’re not constantly bumping into your suitcase.
Location Magic
Here’s what makes this place brilliant — you’re literally seconds from some of London’s best museums. The Natural History Museum? Two-minute walk, maybe three if you stop for coffee. Victoria and Albert Museum is right there too, and honestly, having that kind of cultural access without fighting Tube crowds every morning changes your whole trip. South Kensington station is close enough that getting anywhere else in the city is dead simple.
The Neighborhood Feel
What I really love about this spot is how it drops you into actual London life. Queen’s Gate isn’t some tourist strip — it’s where people actually live and work. There’s a Tesco Express around the corner for basics, some solid pubs within walking distance, and you’re close enough to Hyde Park that morning jogs become a real option. The whole Kensington vibe is sophisticated but not pretentious, if that makes sense.
Why Guests Love It
With a 9.2 rating, guests clearly get what makes this place work. It’s that sweet spot between hotel convenience and apartment freedom — you can explore London all day, then actually relax in a space that feels like home. The museum access alone saves you time and transport money, but it’s the little things that matter: having counter space for your morning coffee, a proper shower that isn’t cramped, and windows that actually open to let in fresh air. You’re not just staying in London, you’re living in it for a few days.

"Review for Kensington Appt."
Great location, very clean, and good to have lift access to second floor. Whilst the lift is small, it was beneficial to have it for accessibility reasons. The provision of coffee, tea, and milk sachets on arrival was also appreciated.
What could be improved: It was slightly inconvenient to have to collect the keys on arrival from a different address to that of the appt. Whilst a short distance away, it would have been easier to pick the keys up at the appt. on arrival. Be mindful that guests may have large cases and be on foot.

"Bright, sunny and well equipped apartment."
The apt is in a terrific location, close to transport and museums. The kitchen is nicely supplied and wonderfully included coffee, cereal, and condiments for our first morning! It's definitely a quiet apartment with lots of sunlight and working windows for fresh air. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
What could be improved: We had to go a couple of blocks away from the apt to a lockbox to obtain the keys, but our taxi found it easily. We were happy to be able to leave those keys on the counter when we left (rather then return them to the lockbox). The stairs have been mentioned before in reviews, so don't take it lightly, especially if the elevator is not working as was the case for us.

"Great place - if travelling solo or as a couple, would stay again."
Lovely clean apartment in a fabulous location. Kitchen well stocked. Vincenzo was very responsive.
What could be improved: The sofa/couch in the dining room cannot be slept in as a bed. Incredibly uncomfortable and needed all the padding we could find to try and make it better!

"Exceptional"
Well location
What could be improved: The first day because of key issues, we cannot back home and stay outside to await. However, host is nice and he helped us as soon as possible. Big thanks to him. Otherwise, we needed to sleep in the street. Haha

"Exceptional"
The location and apartment were great. Quick access to 3 major tube lines, when/if needed. We were able to walk to Notting Hill, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben area, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. Safe, inviting neighborhood. Vincenzo was great, quick responses to the few questions we had. An incredible trip for our family.

"Perfect stay in London, would definitely book again"
The location is perfect. Walking distance to Gloucester Road underground (7 minutes) and 3 minutes away from Natural History and V&A Museums. Shops and restaurants nearby. Most attractions are easily reached by metro or bus. The apartment is comfortable and quiet and Vincenzo was an excellent host.
What could be improved: The only thing missing from the apartment were enough forks and spoons. There were only
2 of each and we were 3 people.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to friends"
Location was very central to museums and transport
Very comfortable and warm inside apartment, lovely street view
What could be improved: Cutlery tray was difficult to find, did have to contact host to find it and they sent a video to explain
Advertised a balcony but there wasn't one, which for me was a reason for choosing the apartment
We did have to go a couple of streets away to collect keys from drop box
