Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Imperial Victoria Square, you immediately notice how it sits right on one of London’s quieter garden squares — honestly, I wasn’t expecting such a peaceful spot this close to all the action. The building itself has that classic Victorian elegance you hope for in Westminster, with those tall windows and stone facade that photographs beautifully. It’s a four-star property that doesn’t try too hard to impress, which I actually appreciated.
Location Perfection
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re literally a three-minute walk from Victoria Station — I timed it — but the square itself feels like a hidden oasis. The private garden in the center (guests get keys, which feels quite special) means you can sit outside with morning coffee without dealing with London traffic noise. Plus, you can walk to Buckingham Palace in about ten minutes, and Westminster Cathedral is practically around the corner.
The Room Experience
My room was larger than I expected for central London, with high ceilings that made everything feel airy rather than cramped. The decor strikes a nice balance between traditional and updated — think elegant fabrics and proper wooden furniture, but with modern touches like excellent Wi-Fi and a decent shower. The windows overlooked the square, and honestly, waking up to those leafy views made me forget I was in the middle of one of the world’s busiest cities.
Dining and Atmosphere
The hotel restaurant serves solid British fare with some international options — nothing groundbreaking, but the full English breakfast was properly done with quality ingredients. What I really enjoyed was the bar area in the evenings; it has this relaxed, almost residential feel where you can actually have a conversation. The staff seemed to remember guests’ names, which you don’t always get at larger hotels.
Why Guests Love It
Imperial Victoria Square works because it gives you that quintessential London hotel experience without the tourist circus. The combination of the garden square setting, solid service, and incredibly practical location means you can explore the city easily but return to somewhere genuinely restful. I mean, having parking available in Westminster is almost unheard of these days, so that’s a real bonus if you’re driving. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a temporary London resident rather than just another tourist passing through.

"Nice, spacious, great localisation, calm"
1) Place has fantastic localisation – in the centrum and at the same time in a small inside enclave – very quiet.
2) The room was spacious, on the last floor, no lift, with the view on the square with bit greenery and nice buildings bathed in the morning sun. There was big TV (had no time to check it). The bed was big, very comfortable, there was extra furniture e.g. armchair (bit stained), mirror, console, chair. The night stand lamps not in use, the rest of the variation of light was ok. There was enough storage place. In the closet there were e.g. extra radiator, iron, ironing board.
3) The bathroom was shared for 2 rooms, but I (we) didn’t notice presence of people from the other room. It was spacious, but in my opinion only one person can be there at the same time as WC place is combined with sink and shower place. There was enough soap/shampoo in the bathroom, enough toilet paper (sorry noting this, but some places have problems with this issue). The shower was very nice – different options and big. The big surprise and cons was heating working on and on in the bathroom. It was an economic puzzle for me as we were at the begining of warm August. The only answer that came to my head it’s because it helps to fight humidity of the bathroom and avoid more costly refurbishment. The pro is that if you have something wet it will dry almost immediately.
4) The kitchen was shared, nice, spacious (special effect obtained by the high ceilings with extra glass-window on top „a la Louvre) with lot of different accessories and nice quality equipment, of course there was a fridge. We didn’t have time to check anything apart water cooker (because of very short stay), but I guess you can prepare any food you want on very different possibilities (baking including) using the available equipment. Some tea available.
5) The remote service/support was very helpfull, understanding and super polite in my apart-"special" case :-) (thank you for that and my...
What could be improved: I would definitly come back there, however I prefer face to face service. I missed UK-EU socket switcher.

"Very good"
Even though staff communication was over email they were really helpful and always on hand if you needed anything.
Location was brilliant, will definitely look to stay around Victoria and here again when coming to London.
What could be improved: Slight issues with the shower, but this was reported and staff said they will be on it straight away.

"Handy, quiet location, posh room with lovely windows. Separate bathroom the only negative part."
Good location. Stylish room.
What could be improved: The separate bathroom was not in the room you had to exit the room & go up a small flight of stairs. Although private it felt awkward running up the shared stairwell in a towel & to go to the toilet.
