Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Hyde Park Green on Inverness Terrace, you immediately get that “proper London townhouse” vibe — you know, the kind of white-fronted Victorian building that actually feels like it belongs in the neighborhood rather than screaming “tourist hotel.” It’s tucked into a quiet residential street in Bayswater, and honestly, I almost walked past it the first time because it blends in so naturally with the surrounding homes.
Location Perks
Here’s what sold me on the location — you’re literally a two-minute walk from Hyde Park, and I mean the actual park entrance, not some distant corner. Queensway tube station is right there too, which makes getting anywhere in London pretty straightforward. The street itself is surprisingly peaceful for being so central, though you’ll hear the occasional late-night chatter from people heading back from Notting Hill (which is actually a pleasant walk through the park if you’re up for it).
The Room Experience
My room was on the second floor — smallish by American standards but perfectly adequate for London, and the Victorian proportions give it character. The bathroom was updated without losing the period feel, though the shower pressure could be better (classic London hotel issue, really). What I appreciated was the attention to details like proper reading lights and enough outlets for your devices — small things that show they actually think about how people use hotel rooms.
Daily Rhythms
Breakfast happens in a cozy ground-floor dining area that feels more like someone’s conservatory than a hotel restaurant. It’s continental style — nothing fancy, but the coffee’s decent and there’s usually fresh fruit alongside the typical pastries and cereals. The staff here genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs, which makes a difference when you’re asking for directions or restaurant recommendations at 7 AM.
Why Guests Love It
This four-star place works because it doesn’t try too hard — it’s comfortable, well-located, and reasonably priced for what you get in central London. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or rooftop bars, but you are getting a solid base for exploring the city. The Hyde Park access alone makes it worth considering, especially if you’re the type who likes morning runs or evening strolls. Plus, being on a residential street means you’ll sleep better than you would near Oxford Street or Piccadilly.

"Good"
Fantastic location for all 5he museums and galleries as well as handy for any west end sites and Hyde Park. Right next to Bayswater tube. Lots of lovely cafes and shops in the area,. Rooms are tastefully decorated if a bit small, so perfect for a couple of days as a base but couldn't really stay in there a long time. We were in a lower ground floor room so view was not great. Shower was ace and coffee, tea and bottled water provided. Recommended for a short stay .
What could be improved: Rooms a bit small but no problem for a short stay and using as a base.

"Superb"
The price as Genius level customer added to a Black Friday deal from the hotel. Everything at the hotel was just what I would expect. Will be back there again.

"A bolt hole. Compact. Comfy bed. Clean. V. Friendly staff. Good value for money."
Breakfast was not an option at this hotel - which we knew prior to booking
What could be improved: Sorry.. I didn’t like the cheap coffee sachets in room. A coffee machine would be lovely.

"Great stay lovely room and friendly staff"
Really welcoming staff, and great room in every respect. Very convenient location and would be very happy to book again at the price we were offered. They also stored our luggage all day without charge so e could arrange an event in the afternoon!! Great service!!
What could be improved: Only small issue was a faulty kettle exploded sending water over the wall and myself. But the kettle was replaced and my shirt dried off so this was a very small issue!!

"Great value hotel and staff were great"
shower was great and beds very comfortable
What could be improved: The area where the hotel is located is great. the shops cafe etc however the actual street is run down and literally next door is an asylum hotel with 24 hour security on the door which was very unnerving for 3 woman, lots of the men staying there were outside all day smoking . Cant fault hotel as not their fault but it did alter our experience .

"Brilliant location and cool staff."
Great location in central London. Just around the corner from the tube station. Plenty of local facilities and convenient for town as well as a swift run around the park first thing in the morning!
Staff were excellent - really helpful and friendly.
What could be improved: All good.

"Lovely location but confusing hotel messages"
Lovely location right beside 2 tube stations
What could be improved: Rooms small, but cost. If you want a big room not for you. shower half worked. Hotel makes a pledge to only clean rooms when you leave unless request, so i was a bit perplexed and worried from a security aspect when they entered my room to clean without an invite.
