Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to the Huge Shoreditch Apartment- Private Roof Terrace on Hoxton Street, you immediately get that “I’m staying somewhere cool” feeling. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Hackney, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you want to experience the real London — not just the touristy bits. The building has that classic East London character, and when you step inside, you realize this isn’t your typical hotel experience.

The Space Itself

The apartment is genuinely spacious — I mean, they weren’t kidding with the “huge” part of the name. You get a proper living area that doesn’t feel cramped, which is pretty rare in London, and the kitchen is actually functional for more than just making tea. What really sets this place apart though is that private roof terrace. It’s one of those spots where you can sit with a drink in the evening and watch the city buzz below you, feeling like you’ve found this secret little perch above all the action.

Location & Neighborhood

Hoxton Street is where things get interesting — you’re surrounded by some of the best street art in the city, and the weekend market is absolutely worth experiencing. The energy here is different from central London; it feels more authentic, less polished. You can walk to Old Street in about ten minutes, which connects you to the rest of the city easily enough. But honestly, you might find yourself wanting to just explore the immediate area because there’s so much character packed into these streets.

Living Like a Local

Having your own room in what feels like a proper London flat changes how you experience the city. There’s something about having that parking sorted (which, trust me, is a big deal in this part of town) and being able to spread out that makes you feel less like a tourist rushing around. The terrace becomes your morning coffee spot or evening wind-down space, and you start to understand why people love living in Shoreditch so much.

Why Guests Love It

This place works because it gives you space to breathe while keeping you right in the thick of one of London’s most vibrant neighborhoods. The 7.8 rating makes sense — it’s not perfect, but it delivers on what matters most: character, space, and that unbeatable location. You’re getting a proper East London experience without sacrificing comfort, and that roof terrace really does make you feel like you’ve got your own little slice of the city.

"Superb"
The location was perfect for the SXSW conference we were attending. The house was roomy and was perfect for our group of four. It was also amazing that we had three toilets and two showers. The living room was also perfect for group hangouts.
What could be improved: I would prefer it if the door lock system was a bit more advanced, but that's no big deal.

"Very good"
Very nice location, and clean apartment. Easy to access, not far from transportation and with some grocery stores and restaurants in the surroundings. It's a nice flat to stay.
What could be improved: There could have been a bit more of equipment regarding the tableware. There were not many glasses (ex: only 2 glasses for wine) and cutlery (not many knives) especially as 6 people can stay (our situation) in the flat.

"Spacious and comfortable flat in the heart of Hoxton"
Great location in the heart of Hoxton with spacious rooms and an amazing roof terrace! Very comfortable for our group of 6... We had a great stay and would definitely recommend!
What could be improved: Wifi a bit slow and unsteady. Another less significant issue would be to provide tea towels in the kitchen and bath mats in the bathrooms to prevent slippage on floors. Also, steep stairs not suitable if you are with elderly guests or those with mobility problems...

"Great location, spacious and clean, beautiful views."
Incredibly spacious - with the rooms spread out over 3 floors. The bedroom at terrace height became known as the “penthouse suite” - a favourite with the kids who took up residence there. Stunning terrace with views of the sky, the vibey street, and London centre in the distance.
What could be improved: Some noise on the street side of the apartment, which is to be expected. Balanced by the benefits of being close to fun and interesting cafes, shops etc.

"Great weekend, good spacious apartment in a good location."
Very spacious and good location for us.
What could be improved: Poor pressure on showers. Shower clamp on bath shower not working so had to hold it in one hand.

"Exceptional"
Very nice, comfortable apartment with close proximity to financial district. 6 beds, attention to details, equipped and clean. Not to forget the awesome terrace. We were very satisfied. Not friendly for disabled, or people with mobility issues or small kids, as the apartment has 3 floors and multiple stairs.
