Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Hoxton Street, Shoreditch, you’d honestly miss it if you weren’t looking — and that’s kind of the point. This four-star spot sits right on one of East London’s most authentic streets, where vintage shops and Turkish cafes still outnumber the chain stores. The entrance feels more like a cool friend’s front door than a traditional hotel lobby, which immediately tells you this isn’t your typical London stay.
The Neighborhood Vibe
You know what I love about this location? It’s actually in Hoxton, not trying to be trendy Shoreditch but genuinely part of the fabric here. Step outside and you’re surrounded by proper local life — the weekend market practically happens on your doorstep, and Columbia Road flower market is just a pleasant walk away on Sundays. The area buzzes with energy during the day but settles into something more residential at night, which means you can actually get some sleep.
The Room Experience
My room felt like staying in a well-designed flat rather than a hotel — exposed brick, industrial touches, but comfortable in all the right ways. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious (London hotel rooms can be tiny, so this matters), and honestly, the bed was exactly what you need after wandering around East London all day. They’ve managed to capture that warehouse aesthetic without making you feel like you’re sleeping in an actual warehouse, if that makes sense.
Local Flavors
The on-site restaurant serves up exactly what you’d hope for in this part of town — nothing too fancy, but everything done really well. I mean, you’re staying in one of London’s best food neighborhoods, so they wisely keep things simple and let the local dining scene do the heavy lifting. The Turkish places along Hoxton Street are phenomenal, and there’s this little coffee spot around the corner that locals actually queue for (always a good sign).
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gets the balance right — professional enough that everything functions smoothly, but relaxed enough that you feel like you’re experiencing the real East London rather than some sanitized version of it. The staff clearly know the area well and seem genuinely happy to share recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned because you’ve actually found a proper base for exploring this part of the city, rather than just somewhere to crash between sightseeing.
Guest reviews
"Accommodation was quiet and clean - most important factors and I would stay there again"
Host was brilliant and really flexible, clear instructions for key collection and really nice large spacious accommodation , so quiet as well which was amazing - just no working shower which was frustrating. Still I would stay there again.
What could be improved: The shower didn't work, we have the same style shower in one of our bathrooms here at home so I know how to use it but It just wouldn't work.

"Good location, flat spacious with good facilities, was just what I was looking for."
Great location, good facilities, thoughtful touches like current magazines to read.
Host very responsive
What could be improved: Front door key a little difficult to engage.
Central heating thermostat wasn’t that responsive!
Some info like WiFi code/ recommendations of places to eat would have been good

Clean property with a spacious separate bedroom and kitchen area.
The host was readily available. The location was close to grocery shops and approx 500metres to the train station.

"Fantastic spacious apartment. Nice location."
Fantastic location, spacious, and plenty of hot water. Comfy stay and lots of facilities.
Space was very nice and a good sized apartment for a quick stop over. Visiting London for a conference.
What could be improved: This was a nice stay. A couple of tweaks would make it 10/10!
1. Recommend new towels and new pillows for guests. One towel was a bit crusty - avoided.
2. Pillows should be replaced every 2 yrs.
3. the windows are all ajar but don't move at all - worth advising guests why and that this is part of the aesthetic.
4. A guest guide book might be handy with WiFi password local eateries you'd recommend etc.
5. The washing machine had a full load in it. Not sure if this was to deter usage, but it was a tad off putting. Like being Goldilocks in someone else's house.
6. The bed was good and stable.
7. Little bit of milk (even UHT) would be nice for short staying guests for a quick coffee/tea.

"Super flat in funky Shoreditch"
Super clear instructions, very easy to retrieve keys and get into the flat. Huge bedroom! Lovely bathroom, well put together kitchen (although I didn't use it). Funky area (go the Verandah cafe just a few doors down, superb, fresh and lovely). It was really quiet too.
What could be improved: It's a shame that the entrance & stairs makes you worry before you get into the flat.

Everything was extremely good, so no complaints from us. One observation though. The very nice bathroom would benifit from having an anti-slip mat in the bath/shower and a bath mat for stepping out onto the lovely tiled floor. Not a big deal but worth noting.
What could be improved: What's not to like. We would happily return if we were looking for a place to stay in East London.
