Overview
First Impressions
The Hammersmith Apollo 1 Bedroom Apartment sits right on Fulham Palace Road, and honestly, you can’t miss it — the iconic Apollo venue is practically your neighbor. Walking up, I was struck by how this four-star property manages to feel both residential and central at the same time. The building itself has that classic London charm without being stuffy, and you know what? The 8.7 rating actually makes sense once you step inside.
The Space That Feels Like Home
This isn’t your typical cramped hotel room — it’s a proper one-bedroom apartment that gives you space to actually breathe. The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped (I mean, you can actually cook here, not just reheat leftovers), and the living area has enough room to spread out after a long day exploring the city. The bedroom feels separate from everything else, which is something you really appreciate when you’re staying more than a couple nights.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s the thing about Hammersmith — it’s one of those London neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often overlook. You’re a quick tube ride from central London, but you’re also walking distance to some genuinely good local spots that don’t feel touristy. The Apollo next door means there’s always something happening, and Fulham Palace Road has that mix of chain stores and independent shops that makes daily life easy.
Getting Around
The Hammersmith station is maybe a seven-minute walk, which puts you on the Piccadilly, Circle, and District lines — honestly, that’s about as connected as you can get without being right in Zone 1. I found myself popping into central London for meetings and back for dinner without thinking twice about it. There’s also decent parking in the area if you’re brave enough to drive in London, though I’d skip the car unless you really need it.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
What strikes me most is how this place nails the balance between hotel service and apartment independence. You get the space and freedom to live normally — make coffee in the morning, grab groceries, cook dinner if you want — but without dealing with the hassle of a traditional rental. The Apollo connection adds this cool factor that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere with character, not just another anonymous accommodation. It’s the kind of place where you actually look forward to coming back at the end of the day, rather than just using it as somewhere to crash.
Exploring London blends royal heritage, UNESCO landmarks, and vibrant neighborhoods glowing with golden-hour light.

"Highly recommended"
We liked everything: perfect location, great connections by bus or metro, the amenities, the apartment had everything you need.
There were very nice restaurants nearby and the park behind the building.
Alex, the owner is a very kind man. We arrived earlier in London than the standard check in hour and he allowed us an early check in. Very nice of him. Thank you, Alex!

"A very comfortable flat in a convenient and enjoyable location."
Convenient location 5 min walk to Hammersmith Station and 5 min walk to the Thames riverfront, which is very lively during the summer. The apartment has all amenities, well furnished and clean.
What could be improved: Bathroom is a bit narrow (though shower works very well)

"Comfortable stay in spacious flat near Hammersmith station."
The apartment is very close to Hammersmith station which is served by 3 subway lines and loads of buses - able to get almost anywhere. The station itself has many food options, a Tesco express and there are restaurants around the apartment, as well as grocery shops like Sainsbury's, Waitrose.
The keys are in a lockbox so no need to arrange a meeting time. The apartment is on a busy street but most of the noise is blocked out when in the apartment itself. The kitchen was equipped with basic supplies like tea, sugar, salt, oil, cereal, laundry detergent which was well-appreciated. The heating works great, and in the shower, the hot water was steady and consistent (not always the case in London). The apartment was clean in general, and spacious. I travelled with 3 children and we had plenty of room to space ourselves out and be comfortable. TV and WIFI work well. Host is very responsive and hospitable. We were able to leave our luggage in the corridor of the building as we arrived early and also had to leave late.
What could be improved: For the most part everything was great and I wouldn't hesitate to book again.
If I'm going to be very picky, I would say that some parts of the apartment could use a deep clean, such as the shower door rail and living room curtains. The bathroom sink is in a very tight space and it also needs to be unclogged.

"Exceptionally comfortable & amazing location."
I’ve been travelling to London for a few years for work now and this is by far the best apartment I’ve stayed in. The flat is clean, spacious and very comfortable. You have all the amenities you need to cook, and it’s also very well located. I will look to book it every time I stay in London.
What could be improved: I had a slight difficulty with the door on arrival but Alex talked me through it, and once you’ve got the hang of how to open it, it’s really no issue.

"Beautiful apartment and great location"
It’s a beautiful apartment just 5 min from Hammersmith station so you can easily get to any part of London.
Everything is clean and cozy and I would recommend it to everyone. We will definitely come back when we go to London next time.

"Nice stay overall"
The apartment was generally good. The location was close to the metro, and there were markets and things to do nearby. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the place was overall clean. The host was attentive and helpful. The TV was also good. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.
What could be improved: The apartment was a bit older than it appeared in the photos, especially the bathroom and kitchen. Some of the kitchen utensils were quite used. For example, the cutting board and pans had noticeable wear. Since the building is wooden, we could occasionally hear some noise from the upstairs neighbour. These were small things but worth mentioning for future guests.

"Very convenient, good value for the price"
Big flat for a rental, can easily fit 4 persons plus a child. Clean and easy to live in.
Very convenient exchanges via Whatsapp with the homeowner. Very convenient location close to Hammersmith Tube&Bus station.
What could be improved: The beds were not confortables, the behsheets were ripped off at places. Missing cutlery, glassware... (only 2 tea spoons ?)
